In a moment that might best be described as insanity, I purchase a 6 knife collection of Italian marked switchblade knives at the San Antonio Coliseum gun show last weekend. Here is what I know so far:

-five of the 6 are "picklocks" and one is "lever lock".
-four are marked "EIG Cutlery Italy" and 2 are marked "Rosco" inside a diamond, then "Italy". I have read that Rosco sold Japanese made knives--these 2 are clearly marked 'Italy'
-sizes range from about 6.125" overall to slightly over 10.375"
-all function as designed
-I was told that the fish shaped one (Rosco) was rare.

I am having trouble finding information and values on the internet regarding these blades. My searches keep turning up modern & repro knives. I understand that there are a number of blade collectors on this forum, so I would appreciate any shared knowledge. Thanks in advance. I know I should probably have bought a nice N frame instead...

Try Bladeforums, too. There is a section for switchblades and automatics. Doesn't seem to be a whole lot of info there, but you may pick up a couple of leads.

While researching switchblades last night, it must have sharpened my senses for them.
While walking through the Birch Run Show this morning my eyes caught sight of this mint, unsharpened Roscoe model B 10 1/2 incher.
I told my wife it's your fault.

Go ahead, my shoulders are broad, and I've been blamed for a lot worse. Beautiful find.
