Need help trying to find a date of manufacture, what I can find is very confusing. SN 3609xx. Any help or advice greatly appreciated.

The early HS had a different grip angle, and the magazines latched in differently. I believe you can use old mag's with an adapter floorplate attached. Once you get to the Military grip, they all pretty well use the same mag. Be careful with Triple K mags, I could never get to work in my Victor, but a friend has no problem with them in his gun.

I'm just going to add that there are at least two distinct styles.
One would be what is called the military.
Another I believe they called the slant grip frame.
Yours would be the slant.
Now we need a picture of yours.....I love those oldies.

I also have an old Sport King, it's probably the most accurate 22 lr pistol I have. It's also a bit finicky (only use standard velocity), and the mags are a pain if you need a replacement.

What I've learned looking into this, is that the feed lips are crucial to tune just right.

All the serial numbers from 360,900 through 360,999 shipped between 2/20/1952 and4/25/1952
This Sport King originally came with a finger style magazine but the later lip style magazines are suitable substitutes if porperly adjusted.

The only new quality magazines available come from interarmstx.com. They are the best source for anything High Standard. There's instructions out there on how to adjust them. If you can't find them PM me and I'll find my pdf copy. You should only shoot standard velocity ammo in yours.
