I think I have finally finished what is likely the most customized Beretta Cougar out there. This 8040F was the first pistol I ever bought (dates to 1987) and has served as a platform for a number of modifications over the years. Today I replaced the no-longer-glowing Trijicons with a set of LPA target sights. Looking at the gun now, I can't think of anything else I can do to it (except find a .357 SIG barrel, if anyone has one).

List of mods:

Polished barrel
Polished Elite II skeleton hammer
D spring
Steel guide rod
Rounded trigger guard
Mild melt job
Serrated frontstrap
Cerakote finish
Anti-ninja takedown lever+pin (Beretta guys will know what this is)
Farrar grips
NP3 narrow slot grip screws
LPA target sights

I know a lot of guys don't like .40 S&W, but this one is fun to shoot.

Nice pistol. My couger is a stock Stoger 9mm. Your modifications have me thinking. I am not especially in love with the slide mounted decocker but they are amazing guns. I am surprised they are not more popular. As for the 40, it is not the best, but it is the best compromise . I went the 357 Sig barrel route with a Glock 35. That is a also great setup.

My Cougar is an 8045 Stoeger and I've installed the LPA adjustable rear sight and some spring work and polishing. The rotating barrel lets me shoot full strength loads, something I cannot bear with a 1911's recoil. They are really great, under appreciated pistols.
