I have a Beretta 92 A1 and really enjoy it. Saw the Tomcat (.32) and had to have it. I read all about the cracks and such but have not experienced any issues.

Looking for opinions regarding the Tomcat (Lovers and Haters).....

Will a .32 work in self defense?

I carried one for a number of years. Ran great on silver tips, but back then that was about all there was in a reliable hollow point in .32acp. More choices now. Little blowback bugger and my big hands it wasn’t the most pleasant thing to shoot so I never put all that many rounds through mine. I got mine when they first came out so it was the carbon steel and black version not the inox

I’ve got two; a black one and an inox with the heavy slide. No issues with either of them functionally. I have been bit a couple times by gripping too high though.

I have a very early 3032, for some reason it has an incredible trigger! Maybe it was shot a lot, or maybe it had a good trigger from the factory, but it shoots great with Winchester STHP!

I enjoy shooting mine..easy to carry, especially with a winter coat...As for defense in these winter months???? Because of the heavier wear clothes of the winter, how effective a .32, unless close up...Hmmm...hope I don't have to find out.

I own a 'fat slide' 3032 Tomcat. Carried it quite a bit and still shoot it on occasion. No issues or problems

I also have a wide-slide Tomcat Inox - which I haven’t yet fired. One reason I hesitate is the barrel can be wiggled - left to right - about a quarter inch each way. Is this common or do I have a lemon ... :(. The barrel is bank-vault tight when closed - but wiggles when it’s pivoted up.
