Pics are as received. For $249 you can't beat this with a stick.

Have to find something to darken up the import mark but I am pleased as I can be. Dirty on the inside. Was obviously not stripped down and cleaned any time recently.

That looks excellent, especially for a police surplus. I am guessing it didn't see much in service holster time.
I can only hope mine looks that good.
I like the rounded trigger guard better than the squared off one my 84f had.

I was considering one of these from Classic Firearms. I'll be looking into the AIM option as well. These seem like a very reasonable bargain and in nice condition overall!

Depending on where you live and shipping charges, it can be a wash moneywise between the suppliers.

Pretty cool! Try some rubsman’s alcohol on the lettering, probably just white paint.

Maybe try a black Sharpie on the importer's stamp. If you don't like what you did, it can be wiped off easily with an alcohol wipe. Yeah, it's kind of a hoopie way of covering it up, but it's worth a shot if it bothers you! That's a nice pistol. Nice price for a decent gun. The grip stocks look like they're in nice condition, but if you want to make it unique to you, DS Custom Grips is a relatively inexpensive way to personalize it. Very nice gun!

The Sharpie worked pretty good. Does not hide it but makes it much less noticeable. That is all I need. It leaves the lettering a shade of plum that almost matches the metal bits on the pistol.:D

Went looking through my ammo stash for my 7.65 but could not find it. Natchez has S&B in stock and I bought 10 boxes. I read somewhere that S&B is one of the few brands of 7.65 that has run in multiple models of handguns with no issues.

I would say that mine is in about the same condition as yours, except that mine came filthy. This pistol was probably issued to someone who kept putting oil over dirt instead of properly cleaning it since it is full of dirty gunk.

It will take me an hour or so of cleaning before I would even attempt to take pictures. Fortunately, my grips look good as well, so no need to order some new ones.

Also, my SN is about 3k higher than yours.

Not a bad buy.

Here is mine, after a bit of scrubbing. It could use some more, but I will do that after the 1st range trip. Yes, that is 2 magazines, 1 came from AIM, the other I snagged from a seller on Gunbroker before the "run".

I also checked trigger pull ~8.5 lbs. SA, ~12.5 lbs. DA. However, these numbers surprised me, since the smoothness makes both seem much less. I ran about 10 pulls each using my Lyman electronic guage.

Used to own a Walther PP in 32 - chasing that brass in the grass or in a pile of other brass is a real PITA

I have a model 84 and love it.

I understand all that’s needed to convert it to 380 is a new barrel and magazine. Is that correct. I’ve seen barrels for just over $100. I bought some MecGar 13 rd mags for under $20.

You, folks, are enablers. Just noticed they have very good to excellent on sale with shipping an taxes $241 paid for :D

A curious idea- I wonder what a little JB Weld squeegeed into that import mark would look like. It is a dark gray. Maybe it wouldn't work and maybe it would be seen as an attempt to remove it which probably isn't legal.
