How long is your pocketknife?

I don't mean a knife worn on your belt or in a coat. How long is the knife you most favor for carry in your trousers pocket?

And what sort is it?

Lately, I've carried mainly a Wenger that's 84mm closed. But more often, have a basic Victorinox that measures 91 mm closed. The most often carried is a Spartan model.

These are Swiss Army knives, because when I carry anything else, I need a tool that my SAK's have.

And you?

My Kershaw Leek is 4" closed and the blade is 2 3/4". But then I also carry my little Victronox that is 2 1/4" closed and the blade is 1 1/2" with the file blade tip reshaped to fit my handgun sights, and the scissors which seldom gets used.

I carry the smallest Swiss Army Knife on my keychain and in the truck I have a 4" out the front Lightning automatic and a 7" Blade Ontario Knife Company Ka bar.

Around my home area, it is Benchmade Infidel, which is a 3.91” blade and just shy of nine inches at extension. It is an auto, which too many places consider a threat to public safety (I guess).

On the road, I have either a BM Griptilian with 3.5” blade or a CRKT M16 with a 3.99” blade. My feeling is a larger blade knife, in the right profile, is the most universal.

It depends: My Opinel is 3 1/2 closed, with a 2 3/4 carbon steel blade so it takes a nice edge; my "gentleman's" pocket knife is 4" closed and 6 1/2 open; Damascus blade an wood bolster; and I have a "technical" Kershaw Onion with 2 7/8 blade, half serrated and half regular and it has a pocket clip thingy and a spring opener. Depends on the phase of the moon on which I carry.

Benchmade 470 Emissary, 2.91". And every key chain has a Swiss Army knife with about a 1 3/8" blade and scissors to cut down my Granddaughter's straws.

Spyderco Delica with a blade that's been Wharncliffe'd to just under 2.5" (normal Delica blade length is 2-7/8").

Clipped in the back pocket is some kind of Kershaw folder, about 4", clipped on the side pocket is a small folder with a 1.5" or so blade and a S&W branded dagger with maybe a 4" double sided blade on the belt.

Usually, I carry three knives:
SAK Alox electrician, 3.75”,
Opinel No.6, 3.5”
Okapi Biltong, 4”

They all have blades right around 2.75”

This week, I have been carrying a Maserin Plow, 4 1/8”closed, with a 3.25” D2 blade, in place of the Opinel. The Plow is a sodbuster-style knife sized about midway between the Case Sodbuster and the Sodbuster Jr. If I forget and leave a knife on the counter after use, I still have two to get me by. The SAK will do anything I need; the others are for fun.

Everything goes in the RFP, along with the little Channellock pliers. Every once in a while I will switch in something like a Mercator K55K or a bigger Opinel, but for the most part I stick with the three knives listed. The bigger ones are more noticeable.

My pocket carry is a Buck #284, Closed length 3-3/4" or 95 mm
Lately I have been wearing, in a belt pouch , a Buck Lite 112 which is thinner than the regular 112 and has thumb studs for single handed opening, very handy.

Carrying a Sog Trident Tanto with 3 3/4 inch blade. Aus-8 steel. Quick opening with that spring assist.
