How long is your pocketknife?

I've been carrying my Kershaw for over 20yrs, blade is 2 3/4" closed it is 3 1/2" but right now I'm looking for a new carry knife one with a clip to hang in my pocket and spring assist opening and good quality my Kershaw was made in Japan and is a great knife I'm just looking to change longer blade as good or better quality

My favorite assisted knife has been the Benchmade Mini Barrage. Unfortunately, the blade is no bigger than the one on your Kershaw at 2 3/4”, which is plenty big enough for my pocket. If I wanted a bigger blade, I would probably opt for the full-sized Barrage.

Got a Kershaw Blur, which I think is a good knife. Very fast opening, but a bit too large for what I need a knife for. Got it on sale, and treasure it. Most knives today are pretty good I think, for most tasks required for the average pocket knife user. Not like the old days, as I imagine them, at least. Nowadays, box and envelope opening...back then, skinning game and whittling, a pastime which has largely been replaced by suring Facebook.

Recently my EDC is a Swiss Army Waiter. 84 mm closed. One blade, combination bottle cap remover/can opener/screw driver, corkscrew, toothpick and tweezers. I’ve added the eyeglasses screw driver accessory that fits into the corkscrew.

Handy way to always have a toothpick with you.

There is also a pin hole in the scales at the base of the corkscrew to store a straight pin, as is the case with many SAKs.

It’s a great little knife, small enough to be unnoticeable in the pocket but with a large enough blade to be useful. (E.g., recently used it in a fast food Vietnamese place to unobtrusively cut a pork belly banh mi — a sandwich on a small, toasted baguette — in half to share with my wife.)

It also only costs $17. Inadvertently left one in my pocket early this year on a trip to Florida so abandoned it to TSA. Had a new one in a coupla days off Amazon.

Terrific bang for buck. Right up there with Opinel.

The last couple of days I have sidelined my Opinel 6 and Okapi Biltong in favor of a Buck 301 from the custom shop. Two blades only, as I rearely castrate a calf. CPM154 steel, long pulls, full flat grind, stag scales. 4”, closed.

My Alox Electrician is still in my pocket, too.

6 3/4 OA
3 7/8 Closed
2 7/8 Blade
BenchMade Mini Griptillian.
Neat little knife. I like the blade design. Very useful and holds a good edge.
I bought it before their bad decision.:D

Here's a video on a favorite knife, the Victorinox Hunter. Length closed is 111 mm, but the video expresses that in inches three times, so listen, if interested.

This isn't a trousers knife for me. It goes in a coat pocket. Or, a glove box, pack, etc. It'd do well in a belt pouch.

Comes in red or Euro hunter's green. Mine is green. The little deer outline on the handle is a roe deer, called rhebok in German.

Hi Texas I have one. As a matter of fact I first knew about this model after I read one of your posts sometime back. There was a vendor here with it on stock and I ordered it.
Regards, Ray

Bought both of them for my boy at different times. I have a couple of Benchmades, and would welcome either one if somebody wanted to give me one.

I don’t carry one-handed folders much, and don’t often go over a hundred bucks on a knife. Rare exceptions include the Massdrop/Laconico Keen, Ethan Becker’s BK62 Kephart, and the occasional GEC folder.

Not sure how long my Wayne Goddard Spyderco is, but it's always clipped in my front pocket. My current EDC Ruger EC9s is included for scale (3.1 inch barrel).
