I ran into the most interesting firearm this past week end at our spring gun show. A "I" frame copy of the 32 S&W long by the Eibar Spain firm of Orbea Hermanos.

It had to following me home, only one Benjamin and it looked unfired. So off to the range this afternoon to try the Remington and the Fiocchi ammo. It is a neat pistol. Not bad for accuracy for a pocket pistol. My son was ringing an eight inch gone at 25 yards with this little pocket pistol and looks like the 15 yard groups are around 3-4 inches. My old eyes were having a problem with the small bladed sights.

Does anyone have any information on when this particularly copy left the shop in Spain? This is the best hundred bucks I have spent in the gun hobby in years. Looks like a set of 32 long dies are in the future for my household. Single action pull is around 3 pounds. This gun looks like an excellent copy of the originals and appears well made, even has all the numbers matching for assembly, with both grips numbered to the gun.

It is an interesting part of history.

Hey, what's not to like? That one looks like a lot of fun, a great deal, and I like that it's an early 20th century piece. Congrats!

That‘s really a neat find.

You just don‘t see a Spanish hand ejector in sock drawer condition in these parts.

Because of the patents issue, they were not generally exported here directly; most on the US collector market came here by way of Latin American countries where they had a rough life.

As a result, their reputation generally is less than sterling, sometimes unfairly. Some of the larger manufacturers did put out professional products.
