Never been a fan of Glocks but I got to try the 43X. Kind of fits the bill between micros and full size 9s. I really liked the grip also. Anyone here have one?

PS. Don’t go by the pic, I have below average sized hands. I’d say small but that would be body shaming.

It's a great little pistol

Aside from Glock's model numbering confusion, the G43X is a great little pistol. It takes the same magazines as the G48, but not the standard G43 (go figure).
You should look up Shield Arms, a company that makes lots of things, the most interesting is the 15 round steel magazine that works with the G43X and the G48. Same form factor, does not extend below the grip frame any more than the factory 10 round magazine.
Makes this little pistol into a small/compact version of the G19.

I am heavily vested into the 43x, and I like it more than any Glock ever. I have two complete slides. One is MOS and the other has night sights. It allows me to have two guns without having to qualify and ask permission to have two alternate weapons by my agency. I kind of wish I would have just went with the 48 though.

Didn’t have the same luck with a P365, had one for a while and hated it.

I love my 43x, have the MOS version but do not currently run a red dot…just night sights, couple SA mags and a talon grip.

I had a 43x, the only small gun that I could hold well with my [XL-XXL glove] larger hands.

The Sig 365 seems to be built better, but it’s shorter front-to-back than the 43x and I can’t get secure purchase.

I may have to go back to a 43x or 48 with the S15 mags and attendant metal mag catch release.

That was my impression just handling a P365. I got flashbacks to the Star Firestar I bought to carry. The grip is so small that I could not get a consistent grip for the draw. Every time I presented the gun it was pointing somewhere new.

I bought my wife a 43X a couple years ago (her issue gun is a 19). I like the size, but can't say I like shooting it much. Very snappy, and the trigger feel is just awful. I tried a co-workers 48 the other day with an aftermarket trigger and it was much better, but recoil is still snappy for what it is.

Despite not really liking them, I was about to build a 48 MOS with a red dot, when I got a chance to shoot a P365XL, and I ended up buying the Sig. Shoots way better than the 43X/48 for me... much softer shooting. Don't know how they do it, but the P365 just shoots like a bigger gun. Plus, you don't have to buy aftermarket mags to get the capacity.

The Glock is a fine gun, but in that size category, the P365 is better.

365 with added X frame (has an extended beavertail) and Handall sleeve, plenty of grip for my XL hands, and a 15 round mag if called for. Glocks are fine semi's, and these days we've got many solid EDC choices.

Had a SIG P365 when it first came out. Ended up selling it.
I got a 43X as soon as they released the all black version and some Shield Arms 15rd mags. No issues. Worked great. Then I got a 43X MOS to stick a red dot, TLR-7sub and Gemtech Aurora II suppressor on as my around the arm gun for varmints.

I have manual safety version of the 365 and 365X. The X solves the pinky issue.

X or XL length 12 round magazines in the original size frame work fairly well too, but they move under the pinky.

The 365 triggers are much better than the 43X triggers I’ve tried, and get better with use.

Aside from Glock's model numbering confusion, . . .

Actually, Glock model numbers are not that hard to understand. The model numbers were assigned to each in the order that they were released. It started with 17 because supposedly the G17 was Glock's 17th patent.

Before making their first gun, Glock made other products and owned 16 patents on them. The 17th patent the Glock company owned was for the first gun they ever built, so that first gun was called the G17. The rest were numbered in sequence as the design projects were started, which was not always the order in which they were introduced into the market.

For me, it's certainly easier to follow than S&W's model numbering.

Kept my performance center shield 2.0 over my 43x. Had it for a month and was sick and tired of my trigger finger getting pinched between bottom of trigger and trigger guard. The crappy goal post sights cost 130 bones to replace and then a different trigger, shield mags etc would be hundreds more. Probly be in it for a grand to get it how I want, and then there's the fact that the 2x4s I use at work feel better in the hand than a glock. Yeah I lose capacity with the shield, but if you need more than 8 rounds, you're probably in a pine box or not in good shape.

I have the 43 and carry it. Really like and trust it.

I had problems with Rugers LC9s and after looking at the 43 and 365 and maybe a Kahr or something ….. went with the 43 based on reputation and friends recommendations. I put 600 trouble free rounds thru it in 30 days, qualified with it to renew my CCL and never looked back.

Congrats on finding a gun that fits and you’re comfy with!

I guess most of my like was the idea of a new gun. But After careful consideration I decided to keep with my P2000. I hit better with it and way less recoil. Most of the time I carry revolvers anyway. But great responses. As for the Sig, I found it uncomfortably tiny but the XL seems to solve that problem.
