Saw an ad from a private seller with a long list of pistols and some rifles. There was an HK 93. I asked for a few pics and when I received them decided to buy it. Made in 1975. Came with several mags (although I don’t have high hopes for the proMag).
Price was $ 880

Well, no confusing date codes to decipher on that one :).

I recall seeing these briefly for sale over here in the 1980s. No idea what their current value is but they are uncommon.

I remember seeing an HK91 back in 1984, IIRC it retailed around $1k.

The Century HK93 clone was around $400 a few years ago, was tempted but not really a fan of the design although I have a CETME and an HK91 PTR clone.

CLASSIC12 - Great price on a real nice rifle. I used to have one with the retractable stock, as well as a HK-91a2 with the fixed stock. Both were $499 each, thru an FFL buddy....:)

My 93 was never particularly accurate, and I sold it, and the 91 (I found an early CETME that was as reliable, and more accurate) for big bucks when they stopped importing them, and prices went crazy. I seem to have migrated to the AR platform when it comes to 5.56. HK makes a fine rifle. I attached a poor scan of an old photo. It carried just fine in a gym bag...:)
