AR pistol braces? What's going on?

That lawyer guy said "verse" instead of "versus" so I won't watch him anymore. Besides, his production values are horrible.

This has been an interesting thread, and I've learned two main points. I'm not smart enough to deal with brace requirements. And I'd bet that the average law enforcement officer could misunderstand the facts too, making my day inconvenient if I had one and ran into the wrong LEO.

My problem with the definitions is that it is entirely possible to have a mass shooting with only one round fired. If it is fired into a crowd any round will likely hit 3-4 people.

Remembering why I don't come on this board much. Jeebus.

No kidding.
Or apply for the amnesty? The pistols are going to be grandfathered in with a waivered tax stamp, but no directive has been given yet to the agents (from an ATF agent).
Here's what's really stupid (per the ATF agent) all "new" built pistols (sbr's now) fall under a new guideline for SBR's, but all the one's grandfathered in will be able to be sold without the tax stamp transfer. The "old" pistols will fall under another guideline going forward and can be sold openly. How stupid is this?
This is from an ATF agent high up.

I bought this pistol lower a couple years ago from PSA, and put a 7" upper on it. I listed it as a handgun on the 4473.

Put it together for multi state road trips. Just a semi auto handgun right now.

If they outlaw it, I'll just stamp it and put one of the extra AR stocks I have laying around on it.

I have 2 SBR AR's and 4 other SBR's.

Looks like a SBR to me. Pistol brace looks like a collapsable stock in length only permanent.. Can someone PLEASE post a picture of someone actually using one of these poistol braces as they were intended.
Let me be clear I am staunchly in favor of 2nd amendment rights and think that one should be able to own anything that shoots. That being said, when one insists in "poking the bear" (in my case the BIG gorilla) one should expect and not be surprised by swift immediate push back.
Do I think these "pistol braces" are stupid? Yes, I do. Do I think they ought to be banned? No I do not. Do I think Geko45 and people like him are morons? Yes I do. Do I think they ought to be shot or imprisoned? No I don't. If we had open season on alpha hotels in America, I would be at the top of several hit lists. Live and let live until you start harming someone-thgen don't be surprised when the full weight comes down on you.

Personally, I'm already an NFA item holder like many here, but I'll be first in line for the amnesty, why not?
Now I'll be able to add a vertical foregrip now.

I'll believe it when I see it. There was absolutely no mention of any amnesty in the proposed regs.

From the ATF.

"The ATF has advised that a braced pistol with a length of pull in excess of 13.5 inches may constitute a re-design of the brace into a stock."

Mine has a 11 3/4 LOP
