What’s the steel, Infi? Those Busse knives and their kin can be mighty appealing, even at the prices they command. I was tempted by a Busse offering a couple of months ago, but just couldn’t bring myself to pull the trigger.
I have settled for a handful of SYKCOs and a Swamp Rat. I find the handles to be supremely comfortable, both the Micarta and the reseprine-c. The warranty is unbeatable.

Yes, it's INFI. They discontinued SR101 unfortunately
But, I got this brand new for $300 - less than what it went for new. So, that's pretty good.
Busse males the best blade steel in the world imo - their SR101 was such a value! As the old saying went " 90% of the performance of INFI at 50% of the cost "

Yes, my five SYKCOs all came in SR101. Never had reason to be dissatisfied with the steel. Just curious about the INFI, which seems to receive so much adulation.
How do you think INFI compares to Nathan Carothers’ Delta 3V, another highly regarded steel? I don’t know that I would ever use a knife hard enough to detect the difference, so my curiosity is purely academic.

Well, I believe Nathan himself said INFI was the Gold Standard. That being said, I would imagine the top 3 I've ever heard of would be INFI, Delta 3v & SR101
The thing about INFI, is that it's almost rust proof.

I think any steel - the heat treat is everything.
52100 can really favor 3v. But, it's rusts so damm easy

I'm sorry, forgot to tell ya that the model I have is called the P&L Statement- Jerry's kids Paul & Luke designed it! They are Prodigies imo
