Have a .400 CorBon barrel fitted to a 1968 GM that has BoMar sights and a .22 Conversion Unit. Ended up with a couple boxes of ammo and found one of the very inexpensive ROTO 4M barrels from SARCO...shoots very well...
Had the chance to buy a 7.62x25 conversion barrel with the correct ramp and didn't decide to add it before they were gone...really REALLY stupid and I have lots of ammo from having a CZ52 and a Tok...

I have thought off and on about adding a Tok and .30 Luger barrels. But I doubt I will ever follow through on that idea. Two calibers I don't reload for, and don't want to add more die sets to the large family I already have. The Tok has a problem in that the cartridge overall length is slightly too long for the Colt magazine. One would have to seat the bullets a bit deeper to function properly.

LOL, this is EXACTLY the reason why I didn't include your name in the earlier post (#70), rather than leaving it in like here, but I guess you missed that.
It had nothing to do with what "you wanted" but was intended to serve as a preface to my example of showing the case capacity differences & the net results of it.
I'm never ceased to be amazed either.

That SIG barrel is the one I used in my Dan Wesson PM-9 conversion.
I couldn't pass up the good deal on it but I had to figure out how to fit it because the DW uses the Clark/Para ramp & lower lug while the SIG uses the Wilson/Nowlin ramp & lower lug.
We discussed that in a thread here about 3-1/2 years ago.

Got my copy of the 2015 Gun Digest in this mornings mail. Read the Wilson article and liked it. Good article for those interested in the Super .38 (or .38 Super).

One of the posters over on the 1911 Forums called DW and was told they only make 50 Guardians in .38 Super a year. They dropped all the other models but recently came out with an engrave Heirloom model in Super.

If you look at Post #16, two of the links are to articles from Steven Camp. Steve was one of the Denton County Texas deputies who worked for Jim Wilson...unfortunately he died early... Loved the Super.

If I were not so hesitant about investing in another caliber (poor use of money and space at this time), a 1911 is Super .38 would be attractive.
