I have a Ted Williams 100, Winchester Model 94 30-30. The Sears number is 273.332140, gun serial number under the receiver is V94***. It has a side mount scope mount, Weaver 1”. No scope. I’m trying to find out a ballpark price as one of my son’s acquaintances is looking for a Model 94 30-30, and may be looking to buy this one. I have never been able to get a close birth year, and more importantly a fair selling price. I’m gonna try to post a couple pictures. Very shooter grade, but works smooth. Thanks if anyone knows anything. I paid about $275 couple years back, with three boxes of cartridges.

I usually search sold prices on the online auctions sites when trying to nail down a price. Generally speaking a department store branded firearm seems to bring about 10% less than the same firearm with the manufactures logo. Obvious exceptions would be A&F or A&N marked firearms.

Back in the day we had Sears, Western Auto and other chain type stores that would place a large order of guns under their name and model that were economy models of popular name brand sellers. They priced them low enough to attract many buyers that just wanted a gun similar but less expensive than the real deal. I have seen a number of them on trade racks and local classifieds for nominal prices. I would be happy to get my investment back in the $300 range.

In my area that's easily a $500-550 sale (maybe more), all day long. Winchester-branded would easily be $600 (or more). Unless I personally know the buyer, an "acquaintance of my son" would pay the same price as any other buyer--you'll have no lack of interest from a shooter-hunter who wants it. High-condition "pre-64" 94s easily command low 4 figures, even though literally millions were made.

I've sold guns relatively "cheap" to "friends" who turned around and flipped them rather quickly. No more "special" pricing to those guys, and they know it.

Just my .02, and worth about as much, lol.

I wouldn't give $500-600 for it, but that's just me. They are a 1970's Model 94 with lower cost badging...I would say $400 max and that's for a shooter only because store branded guns like the J.C. Higgins, Ted Williams, Revelation, etc. are never going to be hugely collectible.

The Sears/Ted Williams Mod 100 are Post64 Winchester Model 94's.
They were made till 1970 with the Post63 stamped steel lifter.
After 1970 and till the end of production (1973) of the Ted Wms Mod 100 the guns were fitted with the investment cast lifter.
These cast parts will show a mould seam right down the center when you look at the lifter from the top of the open action.

The forend cap on these carbines is Plastic.
The fact that they do have a FE Cap makes them different from the standard production Winchester 94 carbine. It actually pushes the TW gun more into a 'Short Rifle' catagory. But that's for collectors to argue about and they don't usually buy TeddyW'ms branded guns.

IIRC ( and I of recent find myself not recalling correctly as much) it seems that these TW guns were factory Drilled&Tapped on the left side of the frame for a side scope mount.

Not much different over all from the Winchester branded carbine other than the few small changes. The sights might be different or may have changed over production. That seems to be a point where changes in form or style are done to House Brand guns by mfg'rs.
The bbl's are WInchester mfg bbl's. Just with a different roll marking on them.

The blued finish on the frames seems to wear off a bit differently on the Ted guns that the same era Post64 94's.
But none of them were really a very sturdy blued finish. Several different trys at a good bluing system were done for the mystery metal frames.

They are non-rebounding hammer, half cock safety, old school lever action rifles.
They work as advertised. They just don't say Winchester on them.

A very nice condition inside and out specimen will usually get $300,,sometimes a bit more on a good day.
But only because the W name isn't on it.

I would add my two cents. Same here, I even had relatives flip them on me.
