My wallet is tired of being punished! My fourth 2020 Python. 3” Combat Elite and boy it is sweet! Was a little apprehensive about the G10 grips in pics, but I am very happy with them once I picked her up. They are amazing. I wish S&W made new revolvers like this, but oh well. Colt has definitely stepped up to the plate with their new wheel gun offerings.

Ive bought 6 new Colts..soon to be a 7th once my new 4" Kodiak arrives.I buy what makes me smile and the new CZ/Colts have yet to disappoint. Bought a Kimber too. Just too nice to ignore.

I feel bad for S&W but it's their people making the decisions. Lots of new autoloaders coming out of their plant so that must be what the bean counters are counting on.

I agree! At least we have the old Smiths. I really like my Kimber K6, my next one will probably be a DCR or 3” hammerless.

We're going to need a sub-forum dedicated to new Colts soon...

How does the 3" balance vs. the 4"?

Some guns just look right a certain way. A Python looks like a 4" revolver to me.

A 3" Smith 13 looks perfect, while a 3" N-Frame doesn't.

All my opinion, of course.

Balance is really awesome! Unfluted cylinder definitely gives it some heft. I really like the 4" in a Python too, I prefer it the traditional way with two vent ribs instead of three. Three just looks to busy in my opinion. Im just glad Colt/CZ is giving so many new options to offer potential buyers.

Colt KC in .22

While on the subject of Colts, what is the consensus on the King Cobra 10 shot .22? I am on the fence about getting one.

How does the external locks work on a Colt ?

I handled a 6" KC in .22 yesterday. If it had been a 4" model, that would have left with me as well. The fit and finish were excellent and the trigger was perfect.

It doesn't. :)

I handled a 6" the other day, very sharp gun. Wasn't a fan of the rubber grips, if I ever pick one up it will a 4" with wood stocks. The "dented" Cobra trigger guard isn't really my cup of tea, I'm slowly warming up to it though. Still hoping for a Diamondback or something similar in .38 someday in 2.5" snubbie!

If I didn't already have 4, 22's, I'd have gotten a King Cobra already.

Ruger Single-Six, 1951 K-22, Harrington and Richardson 926, and a North American Arms Mini 22 LR.
