Beretta 9000 Who's heard of it??
Beretta's 9000 seems to be a red headed stepchild.
Featured in the Tom Cruise movie "Minority Report", the
stubby, futuristic appearance worked well for a futuristic
cop to carry.
No one has seen one since the early '90s. Made in 9mm and 40.
No parts are available. Magazines are non-existent.
I got talked into this DAO 9mm shortly after the movie came
out. Thought I had a bargain. I DID buy every magazine I
could find.
The Beretta 8000 thread reminded me that I have this thing.
If anyone else got roped into one of these, lotsa luck.

I saw one sit on Armslist here in KY for months. started at 400 and finally disappeared after he dropped it down to $275. I started to collect Berettas shortly after and actually regretted not picking it up at that price. apparently the 9mm is a bit more scarce than the .40 from what his ad says. I think they are weird but if you like Berettas like I do then you gotta have it.

My good friend bought a 9mm example with three mags for his Dad. I think it was well received. I would sure take one over pretty much every striker platform on the current market.

Edited to add:
The slide is VERY difficult to rack, but not because of
recoil spring tension.
(Ergonomics)

Never handled one, but it looks ergonomic, like it would be a good carry piece. Some of the styling cues remind me of my CX-4 carbine, and the PX line of pistols.
I am a fan of CZ 75 type pistols, but they have the same issue with the rebated slide serrations being sometimes difficult to get a good grasp on.

There is a review video you can get to via the The Firearm Blog website. The gun gets a proper kicking behind the bike sheds.
I'd consider one at a low price just because of its unusual action. I wouldn't worry about the lack of spares because it would not be fired that much.
