Any pro's or con's on the Savage Axis in 400 Legend? A friend wonone in a raffle and asked me about it. Never heard of the 400 Legend before, assuming it is like a straight walled pistol case, but with more power. I have a Savage M11 in .223 that is a tack driver at 100 yards. Never have shot an Axis though.

Since he won it at a raffle, nothing really to lose. Looks like it is another wildcat cartridge. Nothing that I would be interested in. If it were me, I might trade it for something else. It is supposedly the hitting power of the 450 Legend with lighter recoil.
