Love pre-loved and “enhanced “ big bore revolvers. Soo these two have a new home with me, the blue one is 1910 vintage 45LC that has a Numrich replacement barrel and Micro front sight with S&W rear sight well fitted. The nickeled 1917 is I think a Colt refinishing job, has 637 (June 1937?) stamped on the grip frame under the grip. Both spoke to me sooo I bought em!

I have a restored 1917 Smith & Wesson revolver from the batch that went to Brazil. Some good soul replaced the barrel, installed an FDL Wondersight, hard chromed the gun and fixed up the lockwork. I put on the Tyler T-grip. With 200 grain semi-wadcutter ammunition it will shoot cloverleafs. I like to think that this was the restoration of a gun that had the barrel shot out from corrosive ammunition that saved a pristine as original gun from being cut up.

Those are nice guns. I sold my friend a formerly .455 1916 N.S. Converted to .357 with an 8” Numrich barrel and cylinder. It shoots as good as his Pythons with .38 Specials. Your nickel NS reminds me of my .45 Colt from 1930. I lettered it twice to verify the excellent nickel but no info was found. That’s a 1958 Colt .45 SAA with it.
