My new 9mm Springfield Armory EMP
Back on the 13th of December 2024 I posted a thread on a new Series 70 Colt .45 ACP and mentioned that I had also recently purchased two 1911s chambered for 9mm. Here is a link to that thread: My Newest Colt. I finally got some photos of one of the new 9mms, the Springfield Armory 9mm EMP and here they are:

This gun has a 3" barrel with integral feed ramp as I've attempted to show in the following two photos:

This pistol came from the factory with the ambidextrous safety, and other than a way too heavy trigger pull, was good to go right out of the box!

The only thing that keeps me from getting a new EMP is they changed to just a stamped EMP lettering on the slide. I’m probably in the minority, but I like the old style. Congratulations on your purchase.

I consider 8 plus pounds too heavy for a 1911 trigger.

Yeah, that's up there. Most striker guns are less.

I own two of them, they are my principle carry guns these days. They fit my hand very well indeed, are comfortable to carry for long periods and shoot well.
