Is this a S&W Case/box ????

I just purchase a 1076 and it came in a grey plastic case, with a odd (non S&W?) label,,,,,,,,,I thought it was some type of generic case until I found a PC Shorty 40 today and it had the same case but different color.

So the question is did the PC use a generic case or is this a type of S&W case.

(I sent away for a Jinks letter on the 1076 already)

The case in the picture is an older Doskocil single pistol case. I have two of them, one in gray and one in black. To my knowledge, Smith and Wesson never used this style of box or case for any of its guns. Also, from your pictures it appears as though the Smith and Wesson label for the pistol was peeled off of one box (probably one of the blue plastic or cardboard varieties that most Smith's come in) and was glued onto the Doskocil case.

Never saw gray

I have a PC M-627 I bought new that is a black box like that.

Same here. I have a 845 in a black Doskocil box about 1996 production.

Thanks much for the info, sounds like S&W only used the black ones,,,,,,,,,,,I was sort of hoping the case had something to do with it being a FBI model, I guess I'll have to wait to get the "Letter" from S&W.
(at least it has one of the prefixes they used)
