Does your gun have a 'name'?

I've got a few that have earned names.

"Thor's Hammer" is my .340 Weatherby Magnum Accumark. It earned that nickname because that's what it hits like at both ends. Not to be outdone, my buddy named his custom .300 Ultra Mag, "Zeus's Jockstrap".

"The Africa Rifle" is my Model 70 in .375 H&H because if I ever so get to make my safari, that's the one rifle I'll take before anything else.

"Thunderstick" is the name my wife gave to my Browning 1885 BPCR rifle in .45-70.

It's enough for me to remember the model names of the guns.

I have a hard enough time with people's names.

I spent the first three months of my son's life calling him by the dog's name.

The names I give my firearms are rather basic, The Kimber is Kimmy, Anschutz is Annie, et. et. et. My Smiths and Winchesters have numbers.

This is "BABY"

Mine usually get named whenever I'm shooting really badly. I just can't repeat the names I give them here on this site.

My carry guns have names. The 640-1 is "Jake", and my Commander is "Randy". When my wife is with me, she'll ask "is Jake (or Randy) here"? She'll know we're covered.
