15-22 with EOTechs

Well I gave my clone Eotech another try today. Tried hard to make it work and it just doesn't cut it.

After shopping around online last night and trying to find anything at all local. I picked up a Brand New Bushnell Holo sight from Gander Mountain for $267 after tax.
I really wanted a Eotech. However I figure I can get a new for a minimum of $50 then taking a chance on a used one elsewhere.

Did I make the right choice or should I hold out. I still haven't taken it out of the box.

If I REALLY want something.... I have found that trying to settle for less just doesn't cut it.... and it usually costs more in the long run.

+1 Get what you really want the 1st time and you'll save the money of buying twice. FWIW though, the L-3 makes the Bushnells. They are just bulkier and heavier than the EOTechs.

Well I compared it to a 512 they have. They seemed and looked so much alike and looked the same turned on. The Eotech was definitly tougher made, with the outer shell.. But I am not going to battle with my 15-22. Will so some more shopping tonight.

Well...after sleeping on it (or not sleeping on it) I went back to Gander and returned the Bushnell and got what I wanted..the Eotech.
Very happy with it. I got it spotted in close real easy. But then the rifle started acting up. Had one round go off in the chamber(loud) and a bunch of other jams... must be Karma biteing me in the ass.

I picked up an EOTech XPS2 about a month ago. Sweet it is. I have it on a FNH semi-auto 12 gauge. I couldn't see putting it on the 15-22.....too nice an optic for that.

Hello
Bought me a 15-22 a week ago and Had numerous FTE and FTF's
Its on its way back to Smitty now due to a missing extractor
Anyway I was looking to buy a EOTech 511 from a local guy and he sent me these pics
Is this a Fake or the Real Deal??
I never owned a EOTech so I am not sure if the rubber on/off buttons are removable.

Dakewlndn that eotech looks fake. I just bought a 511 the other day from a local cabelas on sale for 330.00, and it came in a hard plastic case isntead of a box. Heres some pictures

I can't see the pictures posted because I'm finally back at work and they block the pictures, but the older EOTechs came in white boxes. The newer EOTecs come in fancy printed boxes and in some cases with the larger sized sights, in a case. That looks like and older model 511. The style of the sight is consistent with models made 5-8 years ago with no rubber push buttons. The box and manual also look similar to the ones I received when I bought my 512 about 5 years ago. Are there stickers on the bottom of the sight? Here's a picture of the manual and box for my older 512. Also, don't overpay, an older 511 should be in the $200 range (my opinion).

Originally wanted a Aimpoint micro but could not resist the cheap price tag for the EOTech
Thats nearly the price for many Clones out there

Now I jus needa get my 15-22 back to mount it on.
My Dealer gave me a great deal for a threaded 15-22 with all the Magpul MOE stuff on it
Think he was trying to sell it as a knock off MOE Edition thats not out yet
Only thing missing is the Sling mount on the Upper Reciever
I couldnt wait for the MOE version
But I guess I gotta wait now lol
Also got a once fired Glock 30 for my CCW
Paid 500 for the 15-22 and 450 for the G30
G30 looked brand New too
