What's the most elegant S&W you own?

My 19-4...followed closely by my 17-4.

As far as being purty, it would have to be my 29. My picture doesn't do justice to the bluing on this one.

By the original definition, and pure practicality, and even though only 3000 or so were made, for me it is my 520, N frame fixed sight .357 made for NYSP but never delivered. The perfect service revolver.

This old S prefix 29-2 is a shooter and a frequent open carry choice on motorcycle and off road vehicle .

Elegant , like a Grace Kelly or an Audrey Hepburn who can fish , hunt , fly a plane and drive a truck .

This 64-2 would be the most elegant S&W I have so far. Nothing fancy but elegant in its simplicity, a nice clean well-balanced K snub.

Functional, time proven design, hand finished and assembled any pre war M&P would be acceptable.
The design is timeless over, 6 million manufactured.
Simple elegance

1. Functional. Practical for its intended purpose.
2. Well-engineered and executed well in manufactured.
3. Esthetics. It's gotta be pretty.
4. When others see it, they wanta have one also!
5. Pristine. Gotta be in excellent or better shape.

–adjective 1. tastefully fine or luxurious in dress, style, design, etc.: elegant furnishings.

2. gracefully refined and dignified, as in tastes, habits, or literary style: an elegant young gentleman; an elegant prosodist.

3. graceful in form or movement: an elegant wave of the hand.

4. appropriate to refined taste: a man devoted to elegant pursuits.

5. excellent; fine; superior: an absolutely elegant wine.

I would add "Aesthetically pleasing".

I would say this is like asking which is "Most Unique". There is no such thing, either something is "unique" (one-of-a-kind) or not, there are not degrees. I think the term "Elegant" applies to any S&W Hand Ejector revolver of any model, at least until Safety Hammer screwed up their lines beyond belief with that silly lock, or Thomkins PLC stopped using wood and put Goodyears on everything.

Now, if the question was "Which of your S&Ws best fits the concept of BBQ Gun?" that would have been different. In that case I would have to say my 6 1/2" 3rd Model DA Frontier with factory MOP with Gold medallions. Sorry, no photos.

In keeping with the recently posted definition of elegant, I offer this one.
