Ban the American Flag?

Ban the US flag at US schools, because it might upset some students? Of course, makes perfect sense? Are we in bizzaroland? Are these ------- people insane?

You would think that the U.S. government would be proud of the flag.
What's their problem?Should we be ashamed?Shouldn't they be ashamed?

I have a granddaughter in middle school, junior high for us old timers, and I just spoke with her about this issue. She said she has heard nothing and that her class says the Pledge of Allegiance everyday, with their hand over their heart, and use the words "one nation under God". She also stated that if they have students that are not American citizens she is not aware of it and that all students say the pledge regardless of their race or religion.

Now that's an American school

Anyone who is offended by the American flag has no business in America[/QUOTE

If your not proud of it go back where you came from & take back only what you brought here with you!

As an old guy I used to know was apt to say, "This beats anything I ever helt, felt, or smelt."

I cannot believe that this question is even being asked, let alone that the poll is showing results that I can't begin to fathom.

What has happened to us?

Come to MY house and insult me???? I don't think so.
Go back to the dump you came from, this includes the heads of state that come here bashing us. I am sick of this thinking a turd has a clean end.

This is absolutely insane. Why would Fox even pose this?

My God, I can't believe what is going on now. This has got to be the beginning of the end! God help us.

I don't get as riled up as most on this subject, now I will admit I was home schooled and while I was taught the pledge I never memorized it,all that needs to be known is if my homeland is in it real deep I'll be there for her,no question.

The flag is a symbol,a piece of cloth, but it does well to respect it and I do if no one else will, but for the most part I leave that to others.

As to the "I don't get all riled up" part-I just have this to say:

To any who feel the flag is a bother and needs to be tucked away,ok fine, but you first;go back to your homeland and tuck yours away because if you don't and I,or any of my fellow people,go to your homeland and see it we will ask you to put it away.

Fair is fair, yes? so if you happen to vote yes on this~you go first ;)

What shocks me is this is even being discussed. But then again I live in a place where they still pray for the safety of kids at sporting events.

I can just imagine someone telling my granddaughter they will no longer allow her to carry the flag in the Grand Entry at our County Rodeo.

The majority share of people in this country need a good swift --- whipping in my opinion. The flag should be flown high and proud until a time of mourning and respect at which point it should be flown appropriately at half mast. If it offends some to the point of violence, do the right thing and suspend them or expell them just the same as you would if they were fighting for no better reason than they were going after same girl. Done deal, move on.

Who are the lamebrains that voted "The safety of the kids comes first"? Kids will fight for any reason and so the proper discipline is not the banning of the flag from schools but the banning from schools of kids who fight.

I say time and again that the USA was founded on the principles that you could express your beliefs - religious and political - without fear of oppression. Now it has turned around to you cannot express any beliefs on the grounds it might offend someone.

It's really a shame what our country has become.

I guess the theoretical concept of 'the safety of the children' is more important to the sheeple than all the blood of our servicemen and women that has been shed in their defense.

Good grief... they really ARE unfit to govern themselves.

Yes indeed, school kids recite the Pledge of Allegiance daily across America. Adults, however, do so far less regularly if ever in their daily routine. Why is that?

I need to re-read the Constitution, I guess. Is the "right to never be offended by anything" in the same paragraph as the "right to privacy" and "separation" of church and state?

We have been pandering to the extreme left for years.
