My 27 had magnas , but I quickly changed them to target stocks. I have two sets of Kuracs. It is nice to have the original stocks put away in case your widow wants to donate your guns to a museum. While I'm alive I like to carry, shoot, and show off my Kuracs more than any stock I have ever owned. I would never have owned a round butt N framed until I found the Kurac cure.
Congratulations! It's nice to find something you really want.
Five-inch guns are by no means rare. They are very popular though, and unlike the 3.5- and 8.375-inch guns, seem to have had pretty steady popularity for as long as I have been aware of them. The short and the long 27s waver around in popularity. I have been looking for a 6.5-inch gun for a long time, and those seem to be really hard to find.
Be sure to let us know how your new gun shoots when you get a chance to wring it out.
Well, I picked up my new M27. Please excuse my lousy photo skills. The "specks" that appear on the finish in the photos is lint.
As you can see, the stocks are ill fitting, and sanded. I guess they're from an L frame and modified to fit an N? I gotta get a set of N frame Targets.
Anyway, I'm thrilled for my first 27 for $500 OTD.
