M-10 blows up using "older" reloads

Why the indictment on Smith and Wesson? Is there any evidence whatsoever that some defect in the gun that caused this? This type of failure is consistent with what happens when the ammo is at fault.

Looks like someone reloaded some bad ammo and put it in a Remington box. Notice the box end is pretty ragged. Brass should be headstamped with R-P. Don't blame the gun, blame the person that reloaded the ammo. A fine example as to why I don't shoot reloads loaded by someone other than myself.

Looks like a classic case of dipping into the Bullseye while reading the Unique charge table.

Exploding S&W?

Wooden grips, diamond pattern on a "new" gun? At least he said it was his Christmas present. Check that ammo. I'd like to see how this one plays out.

How convenient he was filming this. Yep, every time I go out shooting a nice vintage revolver with unknown reloads I always film it in case I don't make it back... Kyle

-1 older S&W because of some braindead idiot.......what a waste of a nice gun......another lesson of why people with IQ's less than their shoe size shouldn't play with reloading equipment.

Definitely reloads.NOT R-P brass. Brass cases-Silver colored primers =reloads. R-P ammo case and primer are always the SAME color= factory ammo. Bullets are NOT 130gr Metal Case as labeled on R-P box. From the side they look like JHP or JSP ones.

FAULTY RELOADS. NOT Remingtons' fault. Not S&Ws' fault. SHOOTER'S FAULT.

Looks like a 10-5 or earlier. See the exposed hole for barrel pin in frame top

Agreed, all. If I were in charge of QC at Remington, I'd spend the money, track down the subjects, and sue them into oblivion.

Glad he posted three different videos stating the same thing each time. Really drives his ignorance home doesn't it?
Hopefully he puts more of those reloads through the Colt he buys next.
Maybe then he can go to Taurus and see how they hold up.

This is one strange guy. There are 4 videos by him about this and he says just about the same thing in all of them, just a little different. Why make a number of different videos about the same thing? Hate to see this happen to anybody, but if the ammo has a Zero head stamp it aint Remington factory ammo. Weird fella that is.

Interesting that I found the following by looking at some of the OP's earlier posts.

"I own some .38 Spl Hi-Speed ammo Remington Cleanbore which the guy who sold it to me clocked it at 975 ft per second out of a 4 inch Official Police. I haven't shot any of it myself or have the means to clock it yet"

Interesting indeed. If the OP and the youtuber are the same, I bet that Bubba's special ammo "clocked" his revolver right into oblivion.

That makes me nervous. I just acquired a 10-6 and I am kinda nervous to shoot it. I never use reloads only factory ammo. What are the chances of something happening like this.
