Weelll. . . . a local guy has a 629 Performance Center V-Comp 44 magnum of course. . .

He knows I like 44's and really like PC Wheelguns, so he is giving me first crack at it before he tries to sell it to others ;)

This is bad for my wallet, but it looks really nice with my 627 PC!

The Good:
PC Gun
Pre Lock!
The most beautiful set of RB S&W combat finger groove grips I have ever seen in person
Mint condition

The Not so Good:
No box or PC case, hinges broke and he pitched it
He is unsure if he has the muzzle cap to replace the comp
He wants me to make him an offer, this bugs me because when YOU are selling YOUR stuff, YOU should know what it's worth to YOU. . . .but alas

What is the real world value of this gun?

I know what I can buy a new one for, $1325 locally:eek: but that outta the question for the current gun budget

I know the pre-lock makes it more desirable, and these combat grips are drop dead, and I know what guys are getting outta good sets of factory ones

 What to do

Any idea how many were made pre lock??

I would offer him $800-$900 on it as your TOP dollar. The grips alone can bring $150 or more so you have a $650-$750 pre lock N frame PC gun....which is not too bad.

If he does not take it....walk and don't look back.

The no box and no muzzle protector certainly detracts from the value and decreases your market if you ever decide to sell.

Several have listed and relisted on GB between $1100-$1200 and have not sold at that price WITH box, papers and muzzle attatchments so that gives you a baseline.

Well managed to snap some photos this afternoon, only major defect I found was a very slight crack in the bottom of one grip panel. Heres the pics
