This is the most promising time for 2nd amendment rights in years in IL. Hopefully, the vote will swing our way in the impending vote. If not, we'll be able to say that a lot of progress was made in terms of backing, support, and overall momentum. Then we'll snag it next year.

Drop it into your BCC box and compose a KIND request (mean emails will get us nowhere) that they vote YES to HB 148, so that we law-abiding citizens will have the right to protect ourselves and our families. It's not as good as calling all the offices, but for those with only a minute, this is an effective way to add your voice to the request.

Thanks for the reminder. My Rep got a polite but firm request that she support the bill. Whichever way she votes, I intend to attend her next town hall or open house event and either congratulate her or ask her to explain her vote.
