I saw a brand new N frame today with what looked like redesigned houge grips on a 629. more like a less agressive version, finger groove wise. Does anyone know where they are getting them? I don't see them on the Houge, or S&W sites.

Kinda, less agressive finger grooves, It could of been. Do they make those for the 629?

They fit these models......
(Must Have Rounded Corners On Butt Of Frame) Models 10, 12, 13, 19, 64, 65, 66, 296, 386/PD, 396, 586, 617, 646, 648, 681, 686, 696, 24, 29, 610, 624, 625, 627, 629, 657, 460 and 500.

They weren't these were they? I have these(originally designed for X frames) on my 629s and 686s.

Product: Model 500 Impact Absorbing Hogue Square Butt Conversion Grips

Here are some views of the grips mentioned. The X frame grips cover the backstrap and help reduce recoil especially on the Magnum N frames. An excellent choice if they fit your hand.

I have square butt, what does rounded corners mean?

The reference is to K, L, and N frame guns with round butt frames.

The X frame grips are round butt and won't fit the square butt guns... All common Hogue grips for S&W handguns don't cover the backstrap except those made for the X frames, which will also fit the K, L and N frame RB guns....
