Man's Best Friend . . . show me yours!

I'd like to add that my neighbor with a dairy supply biz has a lovely smallish german sheperd. I go over and check on her on weekends since humans are scarce then. Even fed her one long weekend while they were away. I play security in the area since I live here. Love that girl as much as my I used to say I won't shoot someone for stealing, just call the sherrif, but after that incident.....
I feel the same way about all (well most) of the dogs I deal with daily.Sometimes we make each others day. Some of them I can't wait to see and they feel the same.I should make a photo book of all my friends.

My pal says that you should make friends with every dog you can.I agree.

Sorry I buggered your quote.

There are some great dogs here. I cannot imagine being without one. No person or other kind of beast will freely give the loyalty and devotion of a good dog. Mine was the terror of the neighborhood squirrels and was hard wired to hunt them. More than once she chased one at full bore into a tree, then pointed at it for easily half an hour without moving. The squirrel had jumped to another tree and was in the next county!

Here she is in her prime at 4 years old and how she is now at 14. Sadly, time has caught up to her. She now suffers too much from serious lung problems and arthritis. I can no longer justify the steroids and pain killers we have her on. It isn't fair to her. We will probably put her down this weekend. BTW, she isn't suffering in the second picture, just taking it easy in her bed.

This is Cody in my Plymouth. He was my 116 pound baby. We lost him in 2008.

This is Buster. He weighed 25 pounds when we rescued him. He's now 71 pounds. He hasn't met anyone yet that he doesn't like.

My wife and I do not own a dog but while visiting close friends in March, I have a new Buddy.
This is "Wilson" - he is a Lab and part Great Dane.
They rescued him froum the Pound severely mal-nutritioned and half the weight he is now. They quickly brought him up to speed with his health.
He's the best Dog that I've ever come across in my life. I told my friends that I'd gladly take him off their hands if they ever got tired of him. :)

Jade and Aaron, both are no longer with us, this was taken in the mid 90's. After they both passed on, we downsized to a lap dog, Yorkie-poo

This is Earl, a 5 year old rescue Golden Retriever. Although it appears he is taking a break, he is, in reality, on guard. Don't let the pose fool you---he is like a coiled spring and ready to leap into action.

Ok, Ok--he's not really an attack Golden Retriever. No one can take a break like Earl. He's got it down to the fine points.
