Tyler T Grip company shutdown - shipping again

Naturally, of 50% of orders shipped, many of those will be members of THIS forum?....you have a highly inflated opinion of how many people visit forums....actually, i BECAME a member of this forum mainly to update what showed here on a google search of t-grips, as the misinformation and whining was too much to stand...
Add me to the list of whiners.I have been in contact with the Oklahoma OK police dept and OK attorney generals office as of 6/3/11.My order was placed 3/2/11 for a whopping $33 bucks. The order was for a t-grip for a ruger speed 6,frank coolbaugh Jerome,Michigan. 49249.I intend to get payed for the grip hell or high water.

Well, out of 6000 backorders, he now has it trimmed to 2700, and is shipping more out today and tomorrow, making batches of 200 at a time, mostly #1's in polished and black but has to switch off periodically to make them for K-frames and others as well....those of you seeing the t-grip as an investment had better start selling now if you want a profit....and all of you talking "they" as the business goes, it's one guy trying to keep this afloat since his dad died this past fall....from 6000 to 2700, by himself....
Have them call the OK city police dept. and OK state attorneys general office for me and have mine shipped since you have the inside skinney:rolleyes:Or have them contact me on this site to prevent any legal action on my part.Frank coolbaugh,Jerome Michigan 49249.:p

You sure do have a lot of interest in this company to join the S&W forum for what you have already stated is one reason, and berate many of its members for the ridiculous idea of wanting what they pay for in a somewhat timely manner. Here's my feelings, and you pretty much single handedly made me feel this way, I will never buy a new Tyler T ever again. I will buy them used, especially from a forum member (other than you) or if one of the forum members buys the patent or begins making a facsimile, but I now care less what the company's problems are or what they are doing to try to fix them. They've been wrong from the beginning for cashing checks and not delivering. I will not listen to telling folks they will be punished for being dissatisfied with shoddy service. I believe you're here for one reason, you have something to do with the company, otherwise why would you take such an interest in all of this? Don't bother answering, you are the first person I've ever placed on the ignore list. I really get a bad feeling reading your posts.

Let me guess, you're under 30? See my explaination on page 19. My guess is that most of us looking for t-grips are 50+.
You pays your money and takes your pick. I think they look cool and they do work. Erich's 36-1 IS perfection. Old School. Very cool! Erick, thank you for the picture!

28 to be exact, after i went and looked at the black T-grips on blued gun, it doesnt look so bad. it seems they would do exactly what i need. when i grab the factory grips lower, the reach is more what i need. its just awkward to have to get my position without my middle finger resting on the frame.

well said phenson. you da man!!!!

erich, thanks for posting, oh you had me rolling.

Erich, looks good. I like the holster--is that one of Lobo's?

Protected, in case you have a square butt gun, and end up with a silver T grip, here's what that looks like:

36-1 with a Tyler:

I just wish all this mess had never happened. It is too late for Tyler to recover. We have lost another great company.

Thinking back to 1980 I can think of over 100 gun accessory companies that we have lost.

It's interesting that through 30 pages of posts from people who paid for a product they never received, one could replace nearly every mention of "Tyler T-Grips" with "Lawman Leather" and still have the exact same thread.

Caveat Emptor.

Unfortunately I think this is correct. It's really a shame. Given the market they weren't gonna get rich off the T Grip, but it would have been a nice cottage business that threw off some revenue for a small company.

I'd really like to have a bronze one for an N frame, but I'm afraid my name is mud with all the good folks pumping them out at the factory right now....

Shouldn't say anything, just can't help myself. If Tyler was a great company this would have never happened. Even a mediocre company with semi competent management would have avoided this fiasco.

It's not the *folks* it's a one man human dynamo!
Too bad all the people on the S&W forum are on his list for being whiners and we'll never get the product we PAID for.

I posted a while ago that I was thinking of making these things out of resin. The learning curve has been steeper than I expected, but I have produced a few that I would appreciate feedback on before I proceed further. What I have are J frame size in satin black - I have been unable to maintain glossy black with the mold and material I have to date, although I did produce some glossy ones in black and a few other colors early on.

I would hope to sell a final product for $20 plus shipping, but at this point I will sell the few samples I've produced for $15 delivered in order to get some feedback. If you are interested, and do NOT live in Missouri (I'm not ready to deal with the sales tax people until I'm sure I'm in business) please send me an email at [email protected] . I will send PayPal payment instructions. If there is more interest than I have product I'll pick the "lucky" folks who get the payment instructions, so if you'd like to say just why you really need a lightweight grip adapter right now please embellish your email. Please don't ask for one of these if you won't give me some feedback after you get it and try it.

I've attached some images of what I've done so far. It's hard to tell, but one of 'em is a medium gray, which just sort of "happened" with one of the black castings. I do have black and white dyes and can try to make gray if there's an interest, as well as a number of other colors. (Green, or blue, anybody? How about international orange?)

Thanks for any interest.

Wrangler! those looks pretty damn good! Ill be in line when (or if) the K frame ones get made. Nice work!

I think they look great! I'm dying to try one of these out but I'm in Missouri so I'll shut up and listen to what others have to say.

Wrangler, those look terrific!

I hope this works out for you and that you are able to expand to other frame sizes. I'll be in line for a K frame or two.

If you don't mind my asking, how are you attaching the copper tab?
