Tyler T Grip company shutdown - shipping again

Wrangler5;
Hang in there, pardner, and keep us all posted. When you get these up & running, I'll take a couple of black N's.
No pressure, just encouragement !

Larry

I am getting a new N-frame myself, in .38 Special, and will need an N-adapter in the future. So I am happy to see you might be able to make me one. I like what you shown so far!

those resin adapters look like they're gonna work out great. But this part of the discussion needs it's own thread. I stopped reading this one so almost missed a great new product.

New Thread?

I'd be happy to start a new thread headed BK Grip Adapters or some such. Is there a way for me to copy over the couple of posts I made here with the pictures, so they're there to start things off?

Also, if I'm going to be offering these things for sale, should that be in a different place than the "recent revolvers" section?

Wrangler ... While you're in creative mode, do you think you could start banging out some Dirty Harry shoulder holsters? :)

OK, I've started a new thread called BK Grip Adapters. I copied the two posts I made with photos. So future discussion probably should happen there. I'm about to post a status report on that thread, too.

Thanks for all the support so far.

I hope I posted in the correct section.I ordered a tyler T-grip from tyler corp.march 2nd 2011 they stated on there website 8 week wait,no t-grips as of 6/3/11.I have tried to contact tyler but there phone does not accept any messages or emails.I contacted the Oklahoma city police tonight and spoke with a officer,he told me he has no contact number for tyler corp. The officer also told me there are current legal mail fraud complaints filed with the OK.attorney generals office againest tyler. They are going to have a officer contact me next week to file a complaint.I am only out $33 bucks, just trying to prevent anyone else from getting ripped off like myself.coobie:mad:
Any updates on this? Did you file a complaint with the Oklahoma City PD?
Anybody get a T-Grip from the Human Dynamo?

Let's do it!

I posted a while ago that I was thinking of making these things out of resin. The learning curve has been steeper than I expected, but I have produced a few that I would appreciate feedback on before I proceed further. What I have are J frame size in satin black - I have been unable to maintain glossy black with the mold and material I have to date, although I did produce some glossy ones in black and a few other colors early on.

I would hope to sell a final product for $20 plus shipping, but at this point I will sell the few samples I've produced for $15 delivered in order to get some feedback. If you are interested, and do NOT live in Missouri (I'm not ready to deal with the sales tax people until I'm sure I'm in business) please send me an email at [email protected] . I will send PayPal payment instructions. If there is more interest than I have product I'll pick the "lucky" folks who get the payment instructions, so if you'd like to say just why you really need a lightweight grip adapter right now please embellish your email. Please don't ask for one of these if you won't give me some feedback after you get it and try it.

I've attached some images of what I've done so far. It's hard to tell, but one of 'em is a medium gray, which just sort of "happened" with one of the black castings. I do have black and white dyes and can try to make gray if there's an interest, as well as a number of other colors. (Green, or blue, anybody? How about international orange?)

Thanks for any interest.

I have checked with friend on different forums and no one has received any grips or their money back. I think that they took the money and ran south of the border.

So it looks like *mtngunr* was misinformed, lying, or IS Tyler Manufacturing trying to get people to send more checks. Sad.
The Good News... BK Tactical Operator Grip Adapters will rule the day! Go Kip! :)

Contacting Tyler T-Grips

I ordered a T-Grip last October, my check was cashed within a week. After waiting until mid January I started trying to contact them with numerous phone calls and, finally, three letters with no response. I read somewhere that that are being investigated that they are being investigated by the U.S. Postal Service for mail fraud which would be appropriate if they are still taking people's money and not shipping orders out.

My 442's wearing BK Grips!

Got the shock of my life when the postman delivered a black BK grip today. Beautiful! Looks good, (see the other pics that Kip/BK posted), handles well, but the most important thing - it's here! Kip solved the Tyler scam the old American way and is now the manufacturer of what all of us have been waiting and wishing and praying and getting pissed off about.

THANKS, KIP! We shall spread the word!

Got mine today from Kip (BK Grips)....ultra fast shipping and great service....
Here they are mounted on my "well worn" M 49 with elk stocks by Executioner....

why are you guys posting about BK grips here. He's separated the thread for good reason.

Let's keep on subject and let this thread die, or update it with stories about the buttheads going to jail.

Doesn't someone on the forum live close enough to the Tyler grip "headquarters" to drive down there and knock on their door and see if anyone is there?

I guess they've gone the way of Ajax...down. :(

I drove by their old address on Britton Road several months ago and found the building to be deserted. I know they have moved several times. If someone following this thread will pm me with any and all known addresses I will drive by. (I had a more recent address but I'll be danged if I can find it now! Man it really stinks to get old(er)). Hog
