Not the best pic but....

Sip - so the clip goes over the top of the belt, not under it if I'm seeing this correctly right? Do you feel the need to have the shield option with this? Thanks

Holster looks fine but the metal clip (as shown) doesn't work for me. I find they wear holes in clothing and furniture and car upholstery.

Would definitely consider this holster with a plastic hook that goes over and under the belt or a simple j-hook.

Be safe.

Wiseguys eh?

D, The clip has no sharp edges so it shouldn't hurt your clothes....btw, this is the prototype clip, the new ones are black...

Photo, the clip goes over the belt...I tried the under the belt style (Alessi Talon) that clips on the hem of the pants, but I found it didn't offer enough support and it moved around...the Lobo clip locks on the belt and is very stable. Mine is a perfcet fit on a 1 1/2 inch blet with no play...if you order one, you can check with Ray and see how big his new clips are but they look to be about the same....

As for the sweat shield, I have it and it is worth it if you wear it against your skin...( I rounded mine down a bit so you really can't see it behind the slide)...if you always wear a t-shirt, then you may not need it...if it's for an auto, it's up to you how abrasive your slide serrations are....you don't want them cheese grating your shirts...:)

Someone is becoming an attention whore with all these photos, just sayin.:)

Hmmm... I may have to look into that for the 66-5. The Don Hume 715 I'm using currently isn't bad. But, that might be a bit more comfy.

Just how easy/difficult is that to put onto your belt and remove from your belt? For example, if you have it on your belt and you drive to a place where you are barred by law from carrying [police HQ, for example]. You want to remove it, put it in the glove compartment and lock it. Then when you are finished with you business in the PD HQ, you want to put the thing back onto youe belt. Just how easy or difficult is all that?

Looks like a good set up. I'd prefer a straight drop; in other words, no cant. Wonder if that will be an option?

I've been liking AIWB carry, but not many holster options in leather for that type of carry. Hence the straight drop preference.

The picture of the J frame version on Ray's website is straight drop. I ordered one for my 642 so I hope it's that way as this one will be primarily for appendix carry.

I just pmd ray on this holster to see if he made them with a cant, he does not, they are all made straight, but it looks like if u tilt the beltdown slightly it would give a slight cant if you wanted one....

Well I received my IWB offset clip holster today. Had it made in horsehide, for a 4in 67 with hammer shield. Gun fits fine, easy enough to remove and put on. Seems very secure. More comfortable than the generic IWB I occasionally use. The clip pulls the grip in snug. Also can be slipped into a hip pocket on jeans for a quick carry. So far looks like just what I wanted.
