Mike, thats great. What type of grips were standard? Diamond? It's hard to get a pic of nickle that does it justice.

Just standard checkered round butt grips. It`s a 1981 gun, bought new. (had to look up serial number, would have sworn I bought it a year or two earlier than that)
Would like to find a nickel 3" square butt to go with it someday.

Here are pics with original grips. Original new price is still marked on the box. $185.00. If only you could still buy them at that price.
