Sunday night I fried some sheepshead we caught at the jetties in Georgetown. As usual,I applied a generous amount of Texas Pete hot sauce after they were done.I also love Texas Pete on fried chicken.I prefer Texas Pete over Tobasco anytime.Anyone elst like hot sauce on fried food? What is your favorite?

I'm still burning from lunch. An Indian guy I work with told me they had very good hot sauce in our cafeteria so I put three big squirts on my vegetable soup. Bam! I was dripping sweat from my ears...don't know what type it was, but it was HOT! I like hot and spicy stuff, but I think my friend from India is more acclimated to searing hot than I am...next time I'll try one squirt. B

Never seen "Texas Pete". I've tried alot of brands but keep going back to original Tabasco. It's just about the right temp for my taste buds.

My roommate in college was from India. One day he said, "I will make you what ordinary people eat". It was white onion and curry sauce. It was a religious experience.
His mother would periodically send him curry, believing there was no good curry available in America.
I got to really like the stuff. I introduced him to feta cheese.

For everyday use , I like the Original Franks. Not the hottest , but good flavor. Thye do have an extra hot and a thicker wing sauce too. For a good BBQ sauce , I mix 1/2 Franks and 1/2 Sweet Baby Rays.

This stuff is my favorite for adding to chili. Again , not THE hottest , but a great unique flavor.

Hot from India

When I worked in NYC there was a small Indian restaurant we went for lunch. They toned the entrees down for the American taste buds. They would add what they called extra "vindaloos" on request. A friend did that one day and lord did he sweat!!

Tabasco suits me just right.

When I'm with the Baumer family-I go with the Crystal Hot Sauce

When I'm with the McIlhenny's- I go with the Tabasco.

I prefer Tabasco however.

I first had Crystal in New Orleans and fell in love with it. Since Katrina, haven't been able to find it in Ohio. Time to go on a hunt.

The pride of Avery Island Louisiana, McIlhenny's Tabasco Sauce is my choice. I have had some wonderfully flavored curries, courtesy of my Desi homeboy co-workers. I think they turned down the heat for the token white guy though.

What's a good VERY hot sauce. I'm gonna try Texas Pete and Crystal but I'm thinking I'm gonna be disappointed., I don't like the flavor of Tabasco.

Louisiana brand, Crystal, and Cajun Chef, sorry, Tabasco comes in after those for me.
Tabasco does have a beautiful facility on Avery Island it is definitely worth a stop if you are around New Iberia or Lafayette, Louisiana

I prefer tapatio hot sauce. I do not care for the heavy vinegar sauces like Tabasco.
