Here's my story...
I had ordered one for a J-frame a couple of years back (2006/2007) timeframe. When I finally got that one (it took about eight weeks as I remember), the bottom edge was so sharp it actually cut my finger the first time I shot it. I called their "customer service" and asked about a replacement. I was told that was the way the guy made it and if it didn't work for me, I should either file it down or sell it. Not the answer I was looking for. I ended up deciding that I prefered my J-frame with just the old fashion service grips anyway. (I still have the t-grip in my box of "stuff.")
Fast-forward to this year. I ordered one for my K-frame square back in April. I hadn't heard about the issues otherwise I would have waited. That's what I get for not doing some research ahead of time. Because of family obligations and moving to a new house, I forgot all about it. Then, surprise, in late July/early August it finally showed up. I had given up on it. The workmanship seems to have improved. The piece was well finished with no sharp edges and cleaned done.
I'm not saying that everyone should run out and get one now. I'm just throwing my $0.02 in to the mix. Would I order another one from them? Based solely on the fit and finish of the last one I ordered, yes I would. But, I think that I would wait a couple of months and see what kind of experiences others have with their customer service.
Thanks,
Doug
