Reaching 150 signatures marks the end of phase one of this little experiment.

The Whitehouse required that the petition receive 150 signatures before it would be posted on the We The People page of The White House and be made searchable and available to the public.

Done!

Earlier this week, due to incredible response and site traffic, the Obama administration increased the threshold for an official response to petitions from 5000 signatures to 25000 signatures. Fortunately for this petition, it was initiated before that change was made and is grandfathered at 5000 signatures.

5000 signatures is phase 2.

What will the response be should 5000 signatures actually happen? Who knows? But it will be immensely satisfying to have them have to follow through!

We all know that this petition will not make Obama or Holder do anything. It won't cause them to suddenly own up to the situation and accept responsibility.

What it is doing is putting the issue in front of a LOT of people that may not be aware of the issue yet. I like that a lot!

Pass this around! Post it to your facebook or twitter pages. Help me spread the word!

Please sign it.

Submitting this personal information (name, address, telephone number, email address, etc.) is voluntary and is not required to access information on WhiteHouse.gov.

This information will likely be retained by the White House until the end of the current Administration, at which time it will be transferred to the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) in accordance with the Presidential Records Act (PRA). NARA may also dispose of this information if it determines it to lack value, in accordance with the PRA; the White House may also dispose of it on the same grounds after notifying NARA in accordance with the PRA. Access to this information may be requested under FOIA five years after the end of the current Administration.

We may, for example, publish compilations of comments collected through WhiteHouse.gov or provide them to national leaders, members of the press or other individuals outside of the federal government. We exercise discretion to protect voluntarily submitted information if its disclosure would raise privacy concerns. Except as described above, we do not sell, rent, exchange, or otherwise disclose this information to persons or organizations outside the Executive Office of the President. In some cases, we may share information with other federal agencies in response to lawful law enforcement requests or to protect WhiteHouse.gov from security threats. Additionally, if you seek assistance on a matter within the jurisdiction of a federal agency, we may share your information with that agency for the limited purpose of addressing your request for assistance.

What are you afraid of? Being on a government list of firearms owners? Getting Audited? Having an opinion? Weak.

I am not a troll, I am a pissed off gun owner that would love to put this petition up on Obamas very own fluff and buff pacify the masses page.

The liberal msm has been burying this story since it tried to surface. This is one small way to put it in front of MANY people who may not have heard a thing.

Take off the tin foil hat and be heard.

Thank you for your service.

Here is the text of the petition:

WE PETITION THE OBAMA ADMINISTRATION TO:
Cooperate with the congressional investigation into the BATFE's failed Fast and Furious "Gun Walker" program.
In 2009 the U.S. government began instructing gun storeowners to break the law by selling firearms to suspected criminals. ATF agents then, according to testimony by ATF whistleblowers, were ordered not to intercept the smugglers but rather to let the guns "walk" across the U.S.-Mexican border and into the hands of Mexican drug-trafficking organizations.

People were killed with Fast and Furious weapons, including at least two American agents and hundreds of Mexicans.

Attorney General Eric Holder has consistently stonewalled Rep. Darrell Issa, Sen. Chuck Grassley and other congressional investigators.

Eric Holder and the DOJ and this administration must cooperate with the investigation.

Thank you for signing!!

If the petition maintains the pace of signatures it is at, it will reach 5000 by the October 31 deadline!

Thank you for all your help! Pass it on!

Signed it yesterday, posted it to another forum I frequent and sent it all my, well both my, friends and all my family. I figured I was already on the enemies list so had nothing to lose.

Signed and I sent the link out to several other acquaintances.

Hmmm.... clicked the link and i get "server not found"??? Wonder if its just me having computer issues, or if there's something a bit more underhanded afoot....

I go with 'underhanded'. I get this when I tried the link:

The address is not valid
Most likely causes:
•There might be a typing error in the address.
•If you clicked on a link, it may be out of date.
What you can try:
Retype the address.
Go back to the previous page.

I don't know if I would go to underhanded, but when I clicked on the hyperlink that worked fine previously, I ran into the same problem.

I separated the link out and it works correctly now.

Thank you for signing folks!

Copy and paste it everywhere. Make some noise!
