I like mine.
One thing I have found, at least for me, is that the sight picture seems to be 6 o'clock instead of a combat hold like my 9 and 9c. Not sure if anyone else has run into this or not. I haven't tried adjusting the rear sight yet so maybe I'll do that on the next trip to the range.

How long have you been waiting? I heard a big release is coming at the end of September but it could just be a rumour.

Last report from S&W customer service is that a shipment from Germany is coming in early November. Who knows how long they will last? My LGS says his distributor has 500 on order. See you in the spring.
I have been very please with my M&P 22. Last weekend at the range ran a box of Winchester 333 through it. Had 5 or 6 FTF. Fun to shoot only wish I had extra mags.

I went out to shoot yesterday, after this weekend when I was having 1 out of 10 FTF, usually on the second shot.
I was shooting Winchester 36 gr cu plated hollow points.
I tried some Federal 36 gr cu plated hollow points yesterday with the same results.
After doing a Google search last night, I came up with a link about a trouble the Walther P22 was having in feeding hollow point bullets, and a solution to the problem, which entailed a little grinding and polishing on the entrance to the chamber.

Honestly, I hope this doesn't end up being another Walther P22 with a different "skin" in terms of overall reliability. I know .22LR is finicky with ammo choice, but some of the .22 options out there are pretty badly engineered!
One thing I am curious about with this pistol is how well it will work as a training aid from a holster, being that .22 is a lot cheaper for drills than 9mm...
On the flipside, the .22 looks like it has a thumb safety, which suddenly means it's a problem for my holster setup(s). Hmmm...

With my AA kits, they want to use the 40 gr bullet. I stick to CCI 22 ammo but if that is not available, will sometimes go with the Remington Golden. I picked up some Winchester and it seems to do pretty good. Will have to keep an eye out for one of these. Especially with a threaded barrel.

Upon further inspection of the chamber entrance, I do see where they did bevel the bottom on the M&P.
Pickey with ammo, I have to say yes. The hollow point on the federal bulk is kind of squared off, letting it catch on the entrance.
I went back to the Remington Gold and it shoots fine, even though a lot of people on here do not like it, being dirty that is.
I also picked up some CCI MiniMags, which I am sure will be fine, but cost a whole lot more.
Mine came in to my FFL yesterday. It has been on order forever. It was late when I got home, but I had already bought the 'Walther' adapter and quickly removed the threaded end and put on the silencer adapter. I loaded up 12 rounds of CCI subsonic and threaded on the AAC Element.
Went back to the woods and ran the 12 rounds through her quietly and quickly. No issues out of the box. At least for the 1st magazine load. This should be a really nice 'host' and a fun little gun.
