Hey guys-I just finished reading the review of the new D.W. Titan Elite 10mm in the Feb/Mar issue of Guns and Ammo Handguns-$3829.00 for that bad boy-Whoa!! It appears to be a nice pistol, and I'm sure they will sell some, but man. Remember, this is a production gun, not a custom piece. The accuracy seemed to be good-mostly sub-2 inch groups, and it had some nice features, but what do you think? I'm sure someone must have tricked out a 10XX gun by now, but what could be done with the other 3G's + that would be left over after subtracting what I paid for my 1006? And would I like or want the result? One of the things I liked was the 15 round mags that came with it, and the available 18 rounder that can be had as an accessory. What are your views? Flapjack.

Wow, let's get real............. I don't care what people think. For that kind of money, I want a Midas Grade Browning Super Grade Trap in a leather case. Anyone that would pay that kind of money for a production grade pistol is stupid!

I looked at the Titan and had a good laugh, but there are those that will plop down the cash for the Titan I'm sure. I'm content with my S&W's and the Glock 29 has proved to be up to the task of the potent 10mm cartridge as well.

To D.W. Titan...You can fool some of the people some of the time....

That's alot of money. I think it's aimed at a niche market that has no problem paying that kind of price. Sort of the, "if you have to ask the price.." kinda folks. Nice gun though.

I'm content with my 1006, 1066, and 1076. I'm more beer budget and matching taste.

It looks like a nice pistol, but could NEVER justify the cost!

It's a CZ!!!!! I'd rather have the full assortment of S&W 3rd gen 100x than ONE $4K piece...

I like the flat trigger but that can be had elsewhere. If it was $700, I'd buy 2...

The Dan Wessons are wonderful pistols. When they dropped all the 10mms from their lineup, I was crushed, but not enough to cough up $4K for one now that they are back. Since you mentioned the high cap mags, you might consider an STI Perfect Ten. It is still a large chunk of change at about $2000, but it is a pretty interesting pistol. So far, no one is making anything to replace my traditional double action 1066. Good luck.

I have a 1026, 1076, 1006, and a 3" and 4" 610. I cannot think of any 10mm handgun that I would replace any of them with. All of them are more accurate that I am, and all built like a tank. Smith had a winner with them, too bad marketing for the cartridge was so lackluster.

Plenty of people out there with that kind of money, I think we'll be seeing more of that in the future with the TV hype, orange county chopper syndrome, trick is to be the one selling them.

I've owned my share of 10mms over the years and honestly Flapjack if you want a 10 that can do all that plus have 15 rounds in it ya might wanna check out a Glock 20!
Me, I'm perfectly content with my Delta Elite and 1006, nine rounds of 175gr. Win Silvertip will pretty much ruin anybodies day! Dale

I was skeptical of the "Plastic Fantastic Tactical Tupperware" but many law enforcement and military uses says something about trust & reliability of the Glock Line up!

I took the plunge with the Glock 29 and it has lived up to the reputation of reliability...I also added conversion barrels for 40S&W, 357Sig and 9x25Dillon for flexability form the same platform!

I paid less for my Taurus. :)

It's a 2003 Ford Taurus LSE with only 53k miles on it.
In near mint condition. :)

I am a cheap bastage, I couldn't pay that kind of money for a gun.
I'll stick to my sub $500 1076 and Glock 10mm's. :)

With the Razorback 10mm's back this year you could buy 2 of them and customize one or both for less. However, owning a couple of 10xx and a couple of 1911 10mm's (including a DW) I prefer the 1006.

Badkarma, et al-no glocket rocket will live in my pocket! Seriously, my 1006 surpasses all of my expectations every time I pick the big howitzer up! Thanks guys, let's keep'm honest. Flapjack.
Oh I hear ya Flapjack, I too am Glockless at the moment and will remain so until they get the new bugs out of their system! Which is why I stated my preference for my Delta Elite, and 1006.
Now if HK would build a USP in 10mm, I'd be all over that like a pack of dogs on a three legged cat!;) Dale

IIRC I paid 775.00 for my 6 1/2 inch S&W 610-3 when I purchased it in 2009. As for it's accuracy, I've personally managed some 2 1/4 inch groups from a benchrest at 35 yards. IMO in a better shooters hands it'll probably do 1.5 inch or less at 25 yards with the right load. Another plus for the 610 is that it'll also run on the 40 S&W, which means it can be a very economical revolver to shoot with. Finally, with moon clips you never lose a casing, you just take the fired clips home to reload them.

As for nearly 4 grand for one gun that'll only shoot sub 2 inch groups, if I had that kind of money I'd look to having the 610 in every barrel length it was offered in. Since the 3 incher was a limited release that might not be possible however I'll bet that 5K could bring in the 3, 4, and 5 inch 610's.

I have a Perfect 10 and carry it 6-7 days a week with 200 gr Underwood ammo. Have a 1006 on lay-a-way that I will have the first of Aug. Had one years ago but life got in the way and it went to a new home. I do like the 10mm even over the .45ACP 1911. With almost 60 years of carrying most were with a 1911 except when I had the 1006. It was the one that road in my holster the few years I had it. Never had a single time it didn't deliver when called on. Just hope my new old 1006 will answer like my first one.

"4.800 lbs." "$3829.00 USD"

Lemme think..........Uh........Pass.

The Glock 20 with a trigger kit and tru-glo night sights is a fantastic gun. For $625 I've got a 3.5lbs trigger, NS, one hole accuracy at 15 yds and 15 rounds, hard to beat for the money.

I had a 1076, it was a nice gun, my issue with it was the fact it was a boat anchor. It just weighed too much to consider carrying.

Wow, that's a big chunk of change for a 1911 platform with some lipstick. When will S&W or SA step up to the plate and chamber an M&P or XD in 10mm? I try to like the Glock, but it just doesn't feel right to me. I'd really like an all metal gun, but I've given up on a re-issue of the 10xx series and got my deposit back on the Vltor vaporware that was the rage 2 years ago.
