Smith Wesson 327 federal magnum question

I went to a gun dealer today and handled a 632 pro series. I liked it but the front sight was set back from the end of the barrel to allow the power port to work. I want a gun with a non-ported barrel.
I am looking at smith-wessons web site and don't see a .327 chambered revolver with just a regular non ported barrel. Did they ever make one and I am just too late to get one? If not, do any of you know if they have one coming out in the near future?

I saw pictures that sure did show a 2" barrel with no expansion chamber but I have not seen that ad anywhere now .Taurus has four models avaiable , through Cheaper Than Dirt had a Blue one a few week ago $214 and free shipping got that one for the wife , and the same through Bud's , pretty reasonally priced too . Stainless from Buds was $259 , that one is mine .
They remind me of a mini .357 magnum , real nice flash , nice little kick, and supposedly close to .357 magnum power .

I'm certainly no authority, but I've never seen one without the power port. I kinda question as well why S&W doesn't market one without the port. There's no doubt that ported barrels can reduce felt recoil and muzzle rise, but at the expense of additional noise that is reflected back to the operator.

On another note, it does appear that the port can be machined off and the barrel recrowned with a minimum of effort. I doubt that would even affect muzzle velocity since the rifling ends at the beginning of the port. I would expect that S&W measures the barrel length including the port so the effective barrel lenght would be like 2.5".

In retrospect, I wish I had gotten the 632 pro instead of the model 60-15 I actually did get.
