Finally signed for it today...took a few quick pics with my iphone.
I had looked around gunbroker for quite some time for a DS...and actually, I was more interested in the old style with the exposed ejector like my dad has...but when this came up for sale on the forum here, even with a limited description along with a fuzzy pic, something told me it was the one.
This was the whole description by Arman4461
"Four nice handguns for sale. The two Colts are sock drawer pistols, excellent condition. Blue Colt has one box of wadcutters through it."
Well, as you can see, the gun is absolutely immaculate...looks like it came direct from the factory...not a spot of wear anywhere and only a hint of a turn line. Even my ffl was impressed...almost wish it had a ding or hint of wear since it's a carry gun...guess I'm just gonna half to suck it up and accept the fact it's not a safe queen and it won't stay like this.
And I'm sure glad I trusted my gut and went with a forum member over a stranger on a gun auction site...transaction was smooth as silk and he also threw in a like new Milt Sparks PMK holster and 4 speed loaders. I'm sure he could have sold the holster and loaders separately for at least 100 bucks but he threw it all in. Super nice of him...all in all, I am one happy camper.
I would have shown you the pics of the speedloaders, but I'm sure you've all seen them before.
I really had trouble leaving the gun there for another 10 days...actually 12 days since pick up date is next Saturday and my ffl will be gone until that Monday.
But let's end this on a happy note...
