I Confess: I Am a Disgrace to the S-W Forum

Here I go and bare my soul after a miserable failure , , ,
And you guys give me grief instead of empathy.

There are plently of people I could go to for sarcasm and a beatdown if that's what I needed.

I was hoping I could tap into the softer side of the S-W Forum.

Not feeling the love? ;)

My friend, you want sympathy and compassion get a dog:D If you want to be ribbed by your internet buds you've come to the right place.

Reg. the non purchase remember that things work out the way they are supposed it, so don't sweat the small stuff. As Skip said "it shoots high and right anyway."

The worst part is that I must go through life knowing that by failing to live up to the lofty ideals of this Forum I have let my brothers and sisters down.

There, there...

Just use the money you didn't spend on the rifle to rescue a nice Smith. Problem solved.

How's that for a softer side? :D

Some of you are so heartless.
Makes me think there are some closet Colt owners lurking on this august Forum.

Well, I think you should have bought it. Nice wood is getting harder to find every day. Having one of anything isn't enough (except wives). What would happen if the one you've got would somehow malfunction or heaven forbid, you were to drop it on the concrete floor? Had you bought the beauty, It wouldn't have been a problem. You can always sell off the old one if need be. As for the minor aiming problem, I'd blame it on the sight, then buy a new one. Or move the one that works better off the old rifle prior to selling it. When in doubt, keep the gun with the nicer wood.

So accept it, you blew it. You'll feel bad about it for a long time. And the pain will get worse over time, not better. You shoulda. But you were indecisive, non-commital, and now you'll forever have to suffer knowing you simply missed the boat.

This guy is really cruel.
He must be a Ruger fan.

Dick - with all due respect...
Starbuckers hasn't been around that long.;)

^^^^^^^^^^

Yep, like we are going to say "Oh, it's OK, it was just a rifle - no big deal - there will be others."

Ain't happening bro. We still luv ya, but ------ya blew it!

I always try to live and buy guns by this motto " it's better to ask for forgiveness than to ask for permission"

My only excuse, and a feeble one at best, is that I was overcome by a temporary fit of overwhelming dispassionate rationality.

Nevertheless, I take considerable solace in the knowledge that on this Forum I dwell amongst a multitude of unrepentant enablers.

Be careful out there -- One moment of lucid rational thought, and in an instant of hesitation you can lose a perfect record of extravagant and foolhardy firearm purchases.
