I read a post from this guy when he was at a gun show. A vendor told him that on Apr 1 the ammo prices will increase. I thought yea, a scare tactic but this guy wasn't buying any ammo yet she told him this. Apr 1 starts the 2nd qtr of the year so I thought maybe there's something to it.

Whether this is true or not I decided to pick up a couple boxes of 40 SW at Walmart just in case. I haven't got my Sigma 40 yet but now I have value pack of 100 Champ 180s and a box of PDX1 165s. It's all I need for now, 100 to try out the 40 and a box for SD.

I have plenty of 9mm, all JHPs.

i'm well stocked in reloading supplies....same as last time there was a "shortage" you get what u want, when u want it and at dramatic savings..

You read a post from a "guy" who went to a gunshow who was told by a "vendor" something. What a crock. Doesn't even qualify as decent gossip.

I saw SpongeBob telling Patrick recently:

"I knew this guy who knew this guy, who knew this guy, who knew this guy, who knew this guy, who knew this guy, who knew this guys cousin"..............

I doubt that ammo prices are gonna drop much if any at all
maybe some good buys on Nato spec 9mm, 5.56 and such with the trashcanistan pull-out

Ammo has already gone up a lot in the last few years.

I don't see it going anywhere but up either. The closer we get to the election the more it will excelerate. If a gun friendly prez is in office it will probably go down a little. Back in 08 and 09 it was impossible to get any centerfire ammo (other than .38 spl) around here, even took me a couple of weeks to round up supplies, primers were rationed if yo could find them.

I would expect the price of ammo to go up. Everything else costs more. Groceries, meat, gasoline, disel fuel, clothing, the price of lead and copper have all increased in price. The government printing presses are running night and day printing out $$ which devalues our money. Although the government denies it, we have fairly high inflation. So why should ammo be any different and not increase in price?
