Who I still waiting?

Just wanted to check and see who is still waiting on there shield (9 or 40) to come in? My LGS just keeps saying it could be any day when my 9 will be here.

Found one in my home state for $400. Problem is, it is 3 hours from home. Taxes, fees, shipping, plus FFL transfer puts it at close to $500, and that is more than I want to pay. Driving would make the price about the same. So I've decided just to wait for something more local.

Are you guys saying S&W is getting them in for you, making them, or what?

If S&W can't get these out the door, then they're going to lose my business to Kahr this year. I could go either way, but I can tell you I'm not going to pay too much for one.

Still waiting for my LGS to get more in. It's paid for and everything so all I can do is wait, although it's not a big deal since I'm sure it won't be like other manufactures that make a small handful of guns and then just stop production so the prices can go up. It's in high demand but the supply seems to be pretty consistent.

I finally have one in transit. Ordered yesterday from grabagun.com and it shipped today for Thursday delivery . On about 10 local waiting lists and not a word so it's been slow moving up the lists locally. I was 15th on one, thankful for the online options. Good luck and keep looking.

I owned a Kahr CM9 and a Beretta Nano and now a Shield 9mm.

Trust me it would be worth waiting until it freezes over for the Shield.

There is a reason why it is so blasted hard to locate a Shield. Would you rather purchase a gun that is not in demand like the Kahr and Nano?

Lets face it the Shield is receiving incredible reviews all over the internet from 100's of owners and that is why you can't find one at least near MSRP. However, what I learned in economics is supply will catch up with demand and when that occurs prices will settle down and your patience will pay off for the ccw of the year at or below MSRP.

I've been waiting for about three weeks and am still waiting. One LGS has had several come in but they sell within a couple of hours. One LGS had one, I went down and handled it but they wanted $492 for it. I'm more patient than that. I'm second on the waiting list at the gun shop on the local Army post, I'll get it for $410 with no tax whenever they finally arrive. In the meantime, I've ordered my holster so I'll be ready when the shield makes it home with me.

Kinda strange how things go. You folks can't find one. I got one in my home state to pick up. They wouldn't sell me one in the state where I am visiting because I didn't have an "in State" address or driver's license. So I made a phone call to a LGS in my state and put it on layaway. I'll get back to pick it up in about 3 weeks. I have to wait too, but for a different reason.

I feel very lucky to have gotten mine when I did, my LGS has just had in two(As far as I know) and I got the second one just after they put it out.

I'm still waiting ... but that's because the company decided to ship the commercial guns out first, and the LE models won't ship for another 1-2 months (according to the LE distributor).

Which is so bogus when one of their push points was a BUG.

Saw one in a case three weeks ago at my LGS but it was their display model. Put in an order and I am 14th on the list with a selling price of $399.00. I can wait.
