I carry both... Ruger LCP or S&W 60 .357. It depends on what my travel plans or just what my personal motivation is for that day. I also have carried my Colt Mustang Plus II, S&W 49 and yes, I love my S&W 61 as a back-up.

.22 autoloader, 5 shot. It was made for 3 or 4 years in the early 70's.

If you have a revolver and you are comfortable shooting it, then you are probably better off sticking with that type for carry. Autos will introduce a different level of complexity into your manual of arms. No matter how many new "revolutionary" autos are introduced every year, the compact revolver still hangs in there, and for some very good reasons. Get your basic five-shot .38 snub (there are a few compact six-shot models out there, too), and load it with a good example of +P ammunition. Practice at very short range. If you find you can carry a slightly larger revolver, such as a two-to-three inch K-frame, that'll do fine as well.
I carry a 1911 or a 686 most of the time. I have no problem going back and forth and I shoot them equally well. Both are potent and fit my hand well. Open carry and printing are not issues where I live, in fact I sometimes carry my 629-4in if I've had it on in the woods that day. I have noticed that people seem extra friendly when I'm carrying that one though.
342PD or 2" M15, depending on how I'm dressed. If there's any reason at all, a Series 80 stainless Government Model , a couple of mags and a backup Model 37. Things are pretty quiet around here. Unless I'm traveling, the first sentence is usually the one that counts.

Depends on my mood. Or where I am going to be. .380 kilted mostly, S&W mod 36 in an ankle holster, sigma 9mm or sd9 in a slide holster if going to the bank, and two guns into a nasty part of town any combination of the above.

After firing both on the range for some time I think I would go with the revolver. For me its larger, more accurate, and the big reason is deep down inside I am more comfortable with it. It has never failed me and I don't want to be part of "Murphy's law.
Just got my 642 and love it. It's UNREAL how it carries and disappears.
That is so true!
My wife and I both carry semi's and 642's. If we're wearing really light clothing in the summer, then it's just the 642's.
It's an excellent little revolver.

Love the 442. Bought it when I was in narcotics; it was the perfect gun for UC buys. It now is my daily carry piece in retirement, with an extra speed strip in my right front pocket. All you need, and nothing more.

I carry a 442, either on my belt on in my front right pocket depending on the weather. Along with 2 loaded quickstrips in my left front pocket.
66-1 (2.5") year around, with a speed loader in the coin pocket and a Bianchi speed strip in the pants pocket. The only exception is when shorts are worn then sometimes it is just the speed strip. I alway's carry at least 12 rounds with 18 most of the time..
