Hi to everyone, I've been reading this forum for weeks and you guys are a wealth of info and guidance ! Last week I purchased an M&P AR 15-22 for my wife from a private dealer friend of mine. We took it to the range and needless to say she loves her little AR and I'm just amazed with it. Taking your advice for ammo it went thru American Eagle, Winchester Super X, Federal Bulk, CCI mini mags without a problem. Brett248Vista your videos are great, thank you ! Now the question I have about the Slide Fire Stock, their website refers to a letter from ATF about their stock, for those of you that have these stocks what's this letter all about, is it an approval or what ? Great forum !!

the letter states that use of the stock does NOT constitute construction of a machine gun or anything else regulated under NFA(for now). Basically says that the atf checked out that design and/or similar designs and have decided that it is good to go (for now) since you are manually applying force to reset the trigger and for every shot fired there is a separate pulling action of the trigger. As long as you don't modify the stock with springs or rubber bands or anything else that changes the functioning of it, you are good to go. (for now)

and.....they are a helluva lot of fun! I set mine up with a Timney 3lb trigger, which a lot of people are having great success with, including myself as well. I also purchased the non-rotating pin set and built a 22 gauge steel shim piece for under the trigger assembly to keep the timney set screws from damaging the plastic. Works awesome!

Thanks for the response, sounds like the slide fire is good to go for the time being. Addictive is right, she's thinking a red dot scope would round out the package, I just need to find many more magazines !!
