**12/19/12 - New Puppy Update in post 64** Great news about the dog we took in!

As many of you saw in my original thread, a dog wandered into our lives recently...

We were thinking she had a litter of puppies somewhere and we thought someone "got rid" of them and dropped her off.

Well, we still have no idea where she came from (we're keeping her), but tonight, the mystery of where her puppies were got solved.

Meet Annie (as in Little Orphan Annie) and her new puppies, born on 9/20/2012.

You probably want to have their dew claws removed ASAP, the younger the better. Now you have vet bills and puppy chow to look forward to, but you did a good thing for all concerned.

I grew up with dogs and when I was a little baby I was always sitting with mama dog when her kids were eating... and I always remember the puppy smell...

That's a far better situation than the one we feared from your first description. There is something familiar about the general look of Annie that reminds me of a couple breeds, but I am not placing them right now. Good stuff!

So Ole Hillbilly was trying to trick us into thinking the pups had already been bornded.

I took the Evelyn Woodhead Sped reding Course and can read 200 wors a minute with zero comrehison.

Annie's a lucky girl to have found you and bless you for taking her in. I kinda suspect she may have had an agenda, actually. Dogs can tell the really GOOD people.

Vet bills for 4 puppies can add up. I'd be happy to kick in a coupla bucks.

EDIT: I look at the pictures & just want to hug that lucky girl. I'm all verklempt.
