**12/19/12 - New Puppy Update in post 64** Great news about the dog we took in!

A bump to the top for an update on Annie and the puppies. We like puppies!!

Post another picture -- can't corral 4 puppies at one time.

Funny you should mention that....
I was just getting ready to post some pics.
The puppies are getting big, and they love the great outdoors.
They are difficult to photograph - as soon as I try to take a couple pictures, they all come running over for some attention. These pics are the best I can do right now.

Neat thread, and

wonderful pictures. I as jealous, but at 81 all I can do is adopt senior dogs. The senior Sheltie I adopted 1.5 years ago will be 11 in February, and is a fine companion.

Enjoy your dogs:)

They're growing fast! :D That picture on the staircase is a great one. It's going to be a really festive Thanksgiving and Christmas season in the Hillbilly77 household this year. I hope young ones are around somewhere to enjoy those puppies and the coming good times. :)

Compliments again to you and your wife for taking this dog in and giving her a home when she needed it desperately.

Yes, my daughters are 8 and 5.
To watch and listen to them squealing and laughing as the puppies climb all over them and bite them... It is true innocence and puppy love at its finest. I believe every kid should have that experience. When they are ready to go, they are going to homes with children in them, and I hope those kids get as much enjoyment as mine have gotten.
There is one pup that is brownish, and my daughters have already claimed him and named him Duffer.
I don't know where Annie came from, but I'm grateful to the old girl for sticking around and giving my daughters the experience of having puppies.

Well, the puppies have all gone to their new homes....
The last one left this morning.
All 4 are happy, healthy, and mischievous. The 3 that went to new homes all went to homes where small children live, and all households report that the kids & pups are getting along perfectly, as in love at first sight.
They went to good homes, and I'm glad to have done my part to take care of them, but I'm going to miss the little buggers.

Here are a few pictures of the one my daughters kept.
