Dad always said it doesn't cost that much to go first class on some things. It's a good AR15-22 plinker in 22LR,so how nuts can you go beyond useful ??? I like stock, just fine as it is. A good set of reliable iron sights (those are your last resort if a scope breaks) and will help you shoot better, won't break off in the case or (heaven forbid),you drop your AR in the dirt,on the concrete or it just takes a tumble. A scope is nice, but no need for a high dollar one on a "short range" 22lr. Light ??? Who needs one. That's the last weapon I'd grab for what goes bump in the night. Factory stock feels good enough to me. Same for the stock handgrip. If I'd do much of anything,I'd work on freefloating the barrel and making it shoot better.
When I do any up grades on my AR15's,if some of the hand me downs fit and work,so be it. I don't go too nuts on those either. I kind of giggle when I see one that has 3 times the value of the rifle in do-dads and and useless add on's. But hay, each to their own. ..It's a hobby and easy to get lost in and all some people have to do. Beats turning beer into salt water, waisting money on drugs...
