M&P15-22 Mag development

It looks easy to break. If fillets are legs then yes it looks like it needs thicker legs.

Hopefully Doomsday Tactical can upgrade his Camera with first round of mag sales???? I've seen better images of bigfoot then your mag/gun pics!!!!! LOL, JK

Those pics are taken with my Iphone 3GS. I just need to upgrade to the new Iphone to provide you with better quality pics. lol

But I may purchase a Camera soon.

I was planning on having it made of rubber instead of polymer which is why I went with the current design. I can make it thicker if I decide to go with polymer.

Makes sense. You decide on colors for the mag bodies yet? Not that it really matters, I'd take 'em regardless of color.
Hopefully you've got the springs, screws, etc. sourced. If you need help with that I'm sure there are a bunch of eager beavers here willing to do all kinds of research.
Best of luck, enjoy Thanksgiving - I will. Thankful my house didn't go up in the forest fire we're having.

Here is one of the Ranger plate designs. I still need to give it a better appearance. What do you guys/gals think? Good the way it is or needs improvement?
While you've got a good deal on mold making;) design one that will hold a 50 round box of ammo. You really need to own the company that does the mold making, then the sky would be the limit on the accessories you could make for these things.

Yea. Not throwing stones, cause I really like your work, but what about the 'print-screen' button? Are you using some strange dedicated workstation or OS without screen capture capabilities? Don't work for the DoD, do you? :)

If your plan is to mold them from some sort of plastic, I would suggest incorporating some sort of cool looking logo into the design.

I also agree that web thicknesses and radii should be a little larger for strength and abuse. Also, radius the outside corners a bit more. That's my two cents. Take it or leave it.

They look like you're on the right track. If you do go thicker, maybe just on one side. Having them in rubber would be real nice as well.

Looks good. Chad

Colors are OD, FDE, and Black. I have sourced the springs and any other part I need for the mags. Hope all is Well and Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours.

I'm learning how the process and design of injection molds are done. I plan on going back to school soon so I can make my own molds and not have to wait on others.

I take the picture with my snapshot app from Photobucket on my Iphone. I log into my acct on my laptop and copy the IMG file on this forum. I will download an image from my laptop next time to provide better quality photos. To answer your question regarding working for DOD, I do not work for DOD, but I plan on securing a contract with them in the future.

Original plan was Rubber not plastic. I will incorporate a logo in the final draft. I appreciate your two cents/feedback. I will work on a new design and will post another render soon.
